I recently visited Potsticker House with my friends, and the experience was absolutely delicious. We ordered a mix of dishes, and every plate came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The food felt authentic, well-seasoned, and very satisfying.
We especially loved the tofu-based dish with a rich, spicy sauce—it was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly balanced with vegetables. The flavors were bold but not overpowering. Another standout was the stir-fried vegetables with peppers and onions, which had a great smoky taste and paired really well with the steamed white rice. Everything tasted freshly cooked, and the sauces were flavorful without being too oily.
The portions were generous, making it perfect for sharing with friends. The simple presentation let the food speak for itself. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, ideal for a relaxed meal with good company. Service was quick and efficient, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
Overall, Potsticker House is a fantastic spot if you’re craving authentic, flavorful Asian food in Chicago. It’s a great place to come with friends, enjoy multiple dishes, and leave fully satisfied. I’d definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty, comforting food.

We’ve been here three times now and every time it’s been one of the best eating experiences I can remember. No frills, no fuss, simple but also endless menu, AND you can get a Kings Feast for a great price. You have to try the fried eggplant with the cucumber salad – it will change your life.

Had a little time to get some food during a long lunch break and found this place. Rule of thumb is the places that still look like they could be little holes in the wall are gonna have some really good eats.

I got soup dumplings bc I get them whenever I can and they were exceptional. The wrapper was slightly thicker than some places I’ve had it but it was very enjoyable. I like it when the thicker parts of the dough have that chewy texture to them. They provided vinegar and soy, and chili oil for dipping. I think I forgot to ask about mustard.

Secondly I got the beef tendons. For what they charge I got SO much and ended up having leftovers which were so delicious reheated. I got them cold, they were fresh and chewy and the sauce / oil they served on them was salty to perfection. It came with sliced onions and a lot of fresh cilantro, and after mixing everything together for a perfect bite with their white rice was a life changing moment.

Everything was amazing. Also for their fresh soy milk, it was slightly sweet and creamy and kind of vegetal but in a good way? Like you can tell they used fresh soybeans that were green and crisp. Absolutely lovely.

Ended up going back the next day for more of the tendons and I got a traditional Chinese pan cake. It had the best flaky thin dough that had been stretched and rolled back on itself and then spiraled and pan fried I assume. It was light and airy and easy to pull apart. They served it with oyster or hoisin sauce, not sure but it was a great salty sweet combination.

10/10 would go back will always recommend. I love places that have more traditional cuisine and this is one of those places

Very welcoming warm ambiance, nice staff. Love that they have parking. Recommend the noodle soups. 1 is very large a complete meal in itself very flavorful. We ordered one to share, but the bowls they brought us for sharing were very small so getting noodles into it was a challenge and a bit messy, we still managed. If they had larger bowls it would be fantastic. Vegetable potstickers were yummy. The chicken sautéed in bean paste was a bit too salty, and I wish they had more chicken or vegetable dishes, they have a lot of items with pork, my husband does not eat pork meat. Will try again, wait was long to get our food but in all fairness it was Christmas Day.

My partner and I ate here as our first meal as new residents in the neighborhood and I am so excited to keep coming back. The food was perfectly cooked with well-balanced flavors and the sauces were *just right*. We ordered scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, house special potstickers, eggplant Beijing style, and sole fish with pickled cabbage. The soup dumplings were some of the best I’ve ever had! The eggplant was crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and I’m still thinking about that pickled cabbage with the sole fish. SO yummy. Prices were fair and service was prompt and friendly. No wonder they’ve been around 25 years. I hope they’re around for another 25 more!

Nice place with its own parking lot. My wife and I come here often. Delicious food and great service. We highly recommend their 豆浆 (soy milk), 油条 (fried dough sticks), 煎饼果子 (savory pancakes), and 韭菜盒 (chive dumplings). The owner recently remodeled the restaurant, adding many beautiful pictures and decorations, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Really appreciated the fact that they have their own car park here – made this place super accessible for access by car. Restaurant features beautiful artwork on the walls, and wait staff were all friendly and helpful. We ordered 3 dishes – cumin lamb, cold noodles and seasoned tofu. All were delicious, but the seasoned tofu was my absolute favourite (despite the fact that I’m usually not that crazy about tofu!).
Definitely a must visit place if you are in this part of town!

I liked this place a lot – i originally went for the xiao long boas (soup dumplings) and i thought they were good in portion sizes, nice and fresh, and had lots of soup within them. i wasn’t the biggest fan of the textures, but the flavors were good overall. i also really enjoyed their other fried treats like scallion pancakes
