Our waitress, Emily, is without question one of the best servers in the Triad. She remembers our drinks and often even our regular orders—and we’re typically a group of ten. That level of attentiveness is rare. We never wait long for our food when she’s taking care of us, and she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect.
The food itself is excellent. The sashimi is always fresh, and the sushi rolls are consistently well-prepared and flavorful. In many ways, it rivals Mizumi—with one major difference: the level of hospitality and customer care here is far superior.
If I could offer one small suggestion to management, it would be to consider adding barbecue squid, pepper tuna, and perhaps a Crazy Beef Roll to the menu. Since you already offer squid, those additions would elevate the menu even further and make this place nearly perfect.
That said, this has become our favorite sushi restaurant in the Triad. After a few disappointing experiences elsewhere, we’ve found our new home here for the foreseeable future. Do yourself a favor and give them a try—the food and service are truly exceptional.
I did the buffet option, which was about $28 (drink not included), and it was 100% worth it. The ordering process is super easy: they give you a sheet where you check off what you want, and you can ask for another one once you’re done. The options are extensive—nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls, hand rolls, plus a solid variety of appetizers like soup and salad. They also have a couple of dessert options available, though I didn’t personally try them. Since I went at dinner, there’s a two-hour time limit, which honestly felt more than fair.
One thing to note with the buffet: if you leave sushi uneaten on your plate, there is a charge for leftovers—but if that happens, you’re allowed to take the food home, which I really appreciated. It felt fair and helped cut down on waste.
My server was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and consistently checked in to make sure I was taken care of. I also had the chance to talk with the owner, who mentioned he’s been learning social media over the past few months. Based on what I saw online, he’s absolutely killing it.
I mostly focused on the sushi, and wow—some of the best I’ve had. Unlike a lot of sushi spots that overload everything with rice, the protein here really shines. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell quality is a priority.
My ONLY tweak is that when they list the types of rolls they have, they have classic and hand rolled as an option. I’m a country girl so I didn’t know the difference but I asked my server and it’s basically a sushi roll that’s been rolled up to look like a little ice cream cone. I’ve seen them on the internet but never tried one myself (it was wonderful!). So my personal preference, maybe have something that lists the difference or maybe shows a picture of a the difference to small town girls who don’t know the difference? But other than that, everything was great!
Between the amazing atmosphere, excellent service, and standout sushi, this place made my night. I’ll definitely be back.
Sushi Kingdom has truly become our go-to spot for consistently amazing food, welcoming service, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Every visit feels like a treat.
The sushi is always fresh, beautifully made, and packed with flavor — from classic rolls to creative specialties, everything is spot-on every single time. Even our non-sushi eaters find plenty to love, which says a lot!
What makes this place extra special for us is the people behind it. We absolutely adore the owners, Bunty and Annie. They are genuinely kind, welcoming, and pour their hearts into this restaurant. You can feel the care and pride they put into everything — from the food to the experience — and it’s a big reason we keep coming back.
The staff reflects that same warmth and hospitality. You never feel rushed, and they always go out of their way to make sure everyone at the table is happy — adults and kids alike.
If you’re looking for exceptional sushi, outstanding service, and a place that truly feels like home, Sushi Kingdom is it. It’s more than a restaurant to our family — it’s a favorite tradition. Highly recommend! ❤️
