Edit: Came back again for another meal with a friend! Had Tori as our waitress/bartender, and she was AWESOME!! The flautas were delicious as always and the alcoholic beverages were very yummy 🙂
I’ve visited this establishment several times over the years, but unfortunately, my recent experience left much to be desired. My wife and I were looking for a quick takeout meal after a long day, and we decided to place an order here.
I opted for the pork carnitas, which is supposed to be served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo. However, when I received my order, the beans, lettuce, and sour cream were missing entirely. My wife ordered the puffed taco, which traditionally comes with beef, beans, lettuce, tomato, and is topped with chili con carne and cheese. She had requested no beans or tomato, but instead of the beef, we received rice. While the food was flavorful, it was disappointing to see the order so far from what we expected.
We also ordered an appetizer of queso dip, priced at $8. For that price, I anticipated a decent portion, but the small cup we received (roughly 1-2 ounces) is a real poor value for the cost. It’s pretty pathetic.
To make matters worse, the service was less than professional. When picking up the order, Blanca, who rang us up, became rude and confrontational when no tip was left. While I understand the importance of tips, this was a takeout order, and no exceptional service was provided to warrant one.
Unfortunately, this place has clearly declined in quality and service over the past year or two. Given the repeated issues with order accuracy and the unpleasant interaction with staff, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
I have been on a chimichanga kick lately and wanted to try the ones here. I got the shredded chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, and the regular margaritas. My husband got the burrito Supreme with beans and grilled jalapeños with the mango margaritas. Food was really good. Also had room for dessert but forgot to take a picture. Ended up getting a brownie with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup. Definitely was a good last minute dinner thought the night before Thanksgiving.
