A special shoutout to our waiter, Victor, who provided outstanding service—very friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. We had a fantastic experience at China Garden in Frederick! Daisy was our server and she was super, super nice — attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food came out hot and delicious, and to top it off, the owner was incredibly generous and even gave us a few freebies! It’s rare to find this level of hospitality these days. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Chinese food and warm service. We’ll definitely be back!

Our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant, not too loud on a rainy Wednesday for lunch around noon. We are in our fifties and ordered the sesame chicken, which was excellent. The portion was big enough for us to split and the price was very reasonable. We loved the nice touches of free tea and a free sliced orange with fortune cookies at the end. Our server, Jessica, was pleasant but not really super attentive.

Had the lunch special and it was like a feast of various delicious treats. Fantastic service and atmosphere, enjoyed the big windows one can see what is happening outside through. The food was fantastic as well, be ready for that hot mustard kick – one of the best I ever had.

I spent 50 dollars on take out thinking this place would be great judging from the way it looked on the outside and the 2024 winner of best carry out food they had. Postedon their door. I was grossly disappointed. Upon entering, the restaurant looks very clean. I was disturbed though when the back door to the kitchen opened and I saw other than chinese men cooking Chinese food. Out front, they had represented all Chinese workers. I’m not saying that ” other”people cannot cook Chinese food, I’m just saying. their authentic points kind of went down there. Fast forward to me getting my meal within 10 minutes I went to the car and took a bite and it was saltier than Western jerky from the farm storage shed. Not to mention my pork fried rice had big hunk strips of unflavored pork in it. I eat Chinese quite a lot and I wasn’t expecting this as usually it is cubed and has a very distinct flavor of light sweetness, soy sauce, and ginger. The food was packed nice. But the overall saltiness of even the basil shrimp was so astounding, I had to stop eating mid meal. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

This restaurant is really good with tasty food, friendly staff, and a convenient location. They serve sliced pickles as a free appetizer. Numerous reviews mentioned the pickles, and they are really good. I got hot and sour soup which was so good I could’ve had a big bowl of that for my lunch. The other soups ordered at my table got good reviews too. I got the kung pao beef, which came with fried rice and an egg roll. Really good. When we were all finished, they brought these multi-flavored fortune cookies and a plate of orange slices. I definitely recommend China Garden.

It’s a very nice restaurant. They have lots of options with vegetables and everything was yummy. They give generous portions, and you even get starters and dessert included in the meal. The special lunch menu is excellent.

I ordered chicken with broccoli in garlic sauce and got chicken with mushrooms! Ordered plain Lo Mein and got chicken lo mein with vegetables! Ordered sweet and sour shrimp and got shrimp with vegetables in some white sauce! 3 orders I didn’t want! Almost $85 I paid and you can’t get an order right?!! I will never order from this place again!!!

Best egg drop soup I’ve ever had! Very good versions of all the popular favorites here and a great value, especially at lunch. The fried rice had real egg in it with actual flavor and came standard with all the dishes. I like that they also do the traditional wonton strips to snack when you sit down and orange slices/fortune cookies at the end. Portions are generous and it’s a very clean and spacious venue since the remodel.

I ordered Triple Delight last evening as take out and was disappointed….this is usually very tasty with ample protein. However, this time it was very bland, had very little shrimp and scallops and an over abundance of mushrooms. Very surprised…..I have been getting take out from China Gardens for years and have always enjoyed my meals.
