My husband and I tried this upscale Italian restaurant for the first time on our birthday, and it did not disappoint. Everything was good from the appetizers to the entree and dessert. We loved the lobster bisque soup and the arancini Di risso.
I tried their signature sea bass dish, and it was cooked to perfection; it melts in your mouth. My husband tried their pasta, and it was great!
The service was also amazing, shout out to Charlie, who explained the menu well and gave recommendations. We had crème brûlée for our birthday dessert, which was also delicious. We will be back to try their other dishes. This is a perfect place for a date night in downtown Annapolis.

Osteria 177 is a fantastic Italian dining experience. Our waiter, Dimitri, was outstanding—he explained the menu in detail, helped us customize dishes, and clearly knows everything there is to know about the sauces. His knowledge of the old-fashioned bourbons was just as impressive, and the drinks were excellent.
The atmosphere was perfect—comfortable, elegant, and quiet enough that you can actually talk and enjoy each other’s company. We were there for over two hours and never once felt rushed. The pacing was spot-on and made for a truly relaxing evening.
Overall, it was a great time and an experience we’ll absolutely repeat. Highly recommend.

I’ve been here for dinner many times but today was my first lunch outing. Outstanding!!! They have a smaller version of my favorite veal parm for 2 at lunch and also a delicious veal saltimbocca. The service by John Mario was top notch as was the Italian wine he recommended. Lunch is only on Friday’s but go!

Dimitri did an incredible job of making my birthday dinner this past weekend with my family super memorable. He was so friendly and had us laughing a lot. The bread, appretizers, wine and food are all incredible! It’s very worth it. They were very mindful of my tree nut allergy and I felt like there were good options for vegetarians.

We had such an amazing experience. Seven of us had dinner to celebrate two birthdays. Everything was top notch from start to finish. Our waiter from Sardaigne was charming, totally knowledgeable of the menu and his accent was so lovely. The setting is exquisite and perfect for large groups and good conversations. The food was delicious. This is definitely a great place for a celebration.

What a winner! 5 stars across the board for this stylish Italian restaurant. Our server, Brian, guided us through a rather extensive menu. We shared an octopus appetizer cooked perfectly. My wife tried a Super Tuscan wine which was delicious. I had an interesting Negroni with a twist. Instead of Campari, they used Aperol Select which gave it a completely different taste. I loved it. We decided on pasta entrees. I had the squid ink with seafood. She had the pasta with ckams. Both were served hot and al dented. Definitely will be back.

The quality of the food and the generosity of the portions at Osteria 177 were outstanding. We started with the smoked salmon and grilled octopus — both were perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. All of our main dishes were generous plates, absolutely delicious, and well worth the price.
Desserts are also not to be missed.
There was a small miscommunication with one dish (same pasta, meat instead of seafood), and while it was most likely my fault, our server took full accountability. Within 8–10 minutes, a new plate with exactly what I had ordered arrived, along with a sincere apology. We truly appreciated that level of professionalism and customer care.
We would absolutely return — knowing we are treated exceptionally well and served outstanding food makes all the difference. We also chose this restaurant because of Chef Arturo’s commitment to giving back to CASA, and we wanted to support a business so clearly engaged in its community.

What an elegant dining experience. From the hostess, to our waiter and servers, just excellent. I loved the decor and artwork of phenomenal Italian public figures. Fine dining lighting and soft, comforting music. The food and drinks were delicious. I recommend the grilled calamari and lobster bisque soup, amazing. There is a parking garage in walking distance for you to enjoy the beautiful downtown Annapolis scenery and ocean breeze.
