We were genuinely delighted by our visit to this hidden gem in Lewes. Arriving during happy hour, we were pleased to see such a wide selection of offerings. Our group sampled the fish tacos, Caesar salads, and shrimp starters – all served in generous portions and tasting wonderfully fresh. I went for the burger, which was a bit on the messy side but packed with flavor, topped with coleslaw and a tangy barbecue sauce. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. With reasonable prices and great service, it’s hard to go wrong here.

Fish On is a treasure hidden in a modern housing/business development off of the main highway between Lewis and Rehoboth. We discovered it by accident a couple years ago and now it is a regular stop whenever we are on vacation at the shore.
normally, I like to try something new every time I go to a restaurant until I have sample the entire menu. But their fish and chips is so excellent, I have to order it every time I’m there.
Service is always excellent and we are not neglected even when the place is really hopping. The managers always take time to come over and check on us.
I appreciate that they have a selection of beers brewed locally and that is one thing I try a different item every time we are there.
This year we had superb weather so we really enjoy the outdoor dining. if you are too hot, the staff will bring you a little fan. If you are too cold, they will bring you a little heater.
Since this is off the beaten track, you will have to trust Google maps to get you there. But it is well worth the side trip from busy US Route one. And and it is a good alternative to the busy and overpriced restaurants in the tourist towns.

We had a superb Tuesday evening dinner and enjoyed their 25% off special. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the honey glazed salmon on a luscious bed of pureed butter nut squash. It, both were amazing and couldn’t have paired better together, it was a match made in heaven. My blackened Tuna on a bed of, I believe fava beans was also amazing. Hats off to the chef, everything was delicious. Our sweet waitress was so kind and attentive. Fish-On is a true first class, beach find. An excellent experience.

The front bar and dining room have a great vibe, cozy but lively. We were seated in the large back room. The atmosphere was cold. It was like a “Tale of Two Cities”. The service was excellent. A large group of approximately 15 to 16 people came in and took over the dining room like it was a private party. While they didn’t mean to take up so much space, they stood up talking to each other for a prolonged time, making conversation all but impossible for the rest of us. The fish tacos were tasty but quite dry and needed more spicy mayo. The crab cakes were generously portioned. The apple pie and creme brulee were very good . My wine was excellent. The tempura cheesecake was slightly greasy and the end was frozen. The restaurant is very popular and reservations are highly recommended.

Fish on is one of Sodel restaurants, a local Delaware company. Even in the off season they were busy, so I would recommended making a reservation via their website or calling. They had a decent variety of daily specials and on Friday’s it’s 1/2 bottle of wines.

Service was outstanding! I got the Cobb salad with blackened shrimp, generous portions! Decent price. I will say that while what I got was reasonably priced the other party members I was with ordered other items that were a bit over priced. I think the food overall was SOLID…I dont think it was anything to write home about but again. Solid. Would recommend.
Also while the one dinning room area is kinda quiet the other one which is for larger parties can get a tad loud. Its a great banquet room, business party or Christmas party!

Lovely restaurant a little out of the way. Located in a residential area. Parking must be tight in season but off on a Wednesday we found spots. Nicely decorated inside with roomy seating. Suitable for larger groups. Has a nice outside seating area with fire tables. Waitstaff seemed a little stretched but once Tracy got to our table she was very nice but we only saw her once after that great food choices and lots of specials like a $10 burger. Food came out fairly quickly for individually prepared meals. Swordfish was tasty with a nice sauce that did not overwhelm. Place was large enough to be spacious but not so large that noise was a problem. We enjoyed it
