We had a great lunch here this afternoon, a local recommended that we check it out and it didn’t disappoint. As first time visitors, we were served a sauce plate with fresh bread and told a little bit about the history of the restaurant and the family that owns and runs it. What a great way to introduce us to your food! We were immediately charmed and the bread and several of the sauces were delicious. We decided on the lamb kabobs and a side of hummus and it was the perfect tapas lunch. Our server Johnny was the perfect level of attentive. The restaurant itself was very clean and everything was presented well. The restroom was clean and well stocked. The music was a little loud when we were there, it made chatting challenging. All in all we were thrilled. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Simply, incredible! From the quaintness of the restaurant, to the ambiance, and most certainly the amazing food…we loved everything about our experience here. We happened upon it while checking out the Fredericksburg area wineries. And we were certainly glad we did.
We shared the (chicken) Schnitzel and the Charred Cauliflower & Cabbage Steaks, and accompanied that with Israeli Salad (note: it comes with the meal), Baba Ganoush and Labaneh…and one falafel, just to try it out ;-). Everything was delicious and flavorful, but the standouts were the cabbage and the schnitzel.
But…the star of the show was…the pita! Oh, wow, that pita! Some came with the complimentary sauces (all so tasty) that start your meal, but the whole pitas served with the entrees were warm and toasty…and some of the best we’ve ever had.
This gem of a restaurant is certainly worthy of a trip from anywhere, but definitely check it out while in Fredericksburg.

This chef knows what he is doing- what an absolute pleasure it was to eat here! Everything was brilliantly full of flavor and the portion sizes were just right. We will absolutely be back for another date night. Though they happened to be short handed, our waitress Sachi more than made up for it. She was such a joy!

Cafe Dimona was fantastic from start to finish. The food was delicious and came out fresh and well-prepared across the board. We were a large group, and they handled everything seamlessly — including separate checks, which was hugely appreciated. They also took reservations, making planning easy and stress-free.
A special shoutout to Sachi, who took great care of us. She was attentive, organized, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend for group dinners or any time you want great food and excellent service.

We have tried so many Mediterranean food before and this is truly one of the best! The sauces with the pita were incredibly yummy. We were particularly blown away by the uniqueness of taste for the cabbage and cauliflower dish. The fish was so fresh and naturally sweet that we cleaned it up in no time. Will definitely go back again! And thank you Alison and Joseph, for making our dining experience exceptionally special! Thanks for sharing your wonderful spice .

Great experience overall, and Kyra was an amazing server. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. Our drinks stayed full, the service was quick, and she had a great attitude even when it was busy. Kyra truly made the meal more enjoyable, we’ll definitely be back!

It’s a lovely place that used to be our favorite restaurant, The Nest many years ago. The atmosphere is nice and the new decor is elegant. The menu shortage was a little odd, one menu per table? The server was super nice and helpful with wines. The best food of the night was the pita bread. The sauce sample was interesting and all were flavorful. The shug was not spicy though.
When our hummus arrived I was surprised to find it grainy and very bland. I asked for salt and added a liberal amount. It really didn’t help. I make hummus so I’m very familiar with it and I’m not a person who needs excessive flavor. I ordered the charred cauliflower and cabbage and my husband ordered the branzino. My food was barely lukewarm and way too oily. Glistening with oil and not hot is not appealing to me. Everyone was busy and my husband’s fish which takes longer arrived so I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to wait. His fish was deboned a little but still had lots of fine bones. The accompanying couscous was cold and had no flavor. I really want to love this restaurant because they had some vegan options which are hard to find. I just wish the food was better. The chef came to our table after we paid our bill and saw that I didn’t eat much of my entree. I told him why and he offered to take it off our bill but we said no because we’d already paid. We will come back again next year when we come to Fredericksburg and hopefully have a better experience.

Went for my 50th birthday dinner and let me tell you, the food is devine! The chef is quite talented, the service was on point, the manager & staff were all so kind. I also love that the wine selection is all authentically Mediterranean. This restaurant is an adorable quaint little old house that feels just like you’re going home. 10/10 recommend!! 5
