We were in the area and decided to give them a try. I order the brisket plate and the brisket was cold, didn’t have flavor and it wasn’t tender. The cabbage and collard greens were room temperature. I ordered my wife the rib plate with the Mac n chez and it was just noodles.

My wife and I were leaving SAMS when I struck up a conversation with Don and he said that he had a barque spot and gave me a card and said that we should check him out. I told him that don’t be surprised if we show up today. After a 45 minute trip back home, we decided to make the trip back up to Brunswick. We were welcomed by the young lady at the register. We explained that this was our first time visiting and she made some nice recommendations to try. As someone who loves great barbecue and smoked foods, I ordered the turkey wings plate with rice and baked beans, smoked wings(2), whole chicken and 1/2 pound of brisket. Everything was delicious and well cooked. Flavour throughout everything. After looking for a place with great brisket, smoked chicken, at ospere and hospitality we have found our spot. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed and satisfied.

You can truly tell they are putting in the time and effort into ensuring every plate going out in top notch! Being able to go to a new small business and having this superb food and friendly service made the experience even better! Highly suggest giving don ques a try, I promise you will be coming back!!! This restaurant is the real deal I have eaten at plenty of barbecue joints but this place is on the spot. If you like seasoned food, this will be the best place ever, from the mac and cheese to the collard greens they’re on the spot. We had six people in our group. Everyone loved it.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The flavor? Smoky, rich, and just the right amount of seasoning that makes you wanna lick your fingers (and falling off the bone). I only ordered five wings, but I’m now questioning all my life choices because I should’ve gotten twenty.
10/10, my taste buds are still clapping!

We went for breakfast, and it was just average. My husband got the sausage and I got bacon, we both got grits (no salt), egg, and toast. My bacon wasn’t right (like overcooked or reheated, totally broken up) but I took it back and they gave me some fresh bacon. I wanted my eggs over medium but it was fried hard, You also get toast with it. The young lady at the register was nice. They do not offer military discounts. Will have to try lunch and or dinner next time.

We are always looking for good BBQ. When we had people tell us to try this place out, we wanted to think the best. We weren’t as impressed as we had hopes for. It was a Saturday and it was around 3pm, so no cars there didn’t bother us. I ordered the Burnt End meal priced at near $25. My husband ordered Wings and a side of Fries, another $20 plus. Not to mention our $3 sweet teas that were small drinks. My burnt ends were less than expected. Nowhere near what I have had elsewhere. The plate came with yellow rice and a side. I got collard greens. First off the meat was not what I would consider “burnt” ends (I’ve had true KC burnt ends) and had a sauce on it which was strange. Then there was a layer of rice underneath the meat that just as thick as the layer of meat, giving you the impression you got more meat. Plus some more on the side. The collard greens were extremely salty. Not good. Again, a small portion for the price. My husband received 5 wings that were in fact smoked. However, they lacked flavor even though they looked tasty. He said they were average. He had asked the person taking the order if the fries were homemade, meaning cut and fried from scratch. They were not. He wouldn’t have ordered them if he knew what kind they were. Overall, a disappointing outing. Way overpriced, and less than appetizing. Service was fine though.

Food was excellent and the service was good. The cashier was genuine and friendly but she got both our orders wrong. We’d already started eating when we realized I got smoked chicken instead of chicken wings and my wife got pulled chicken instead pulled pork. It was still very good. We’ll be back again for sure
