I’ve been coming to anmol for almost 20 years and I keep giving it another shot thinking maybe this time will be good like it used to be. To sum it up, service and food has gotten worse and smaller portions with higher prices. Last week we got half burnt naan, 4 pieces of chicken in the tikki masala, mild vegetable korma when we ordered med/hot, and received vegetable somosas instead of meat. We ordered 4 meals, an appetizer combo and meat somosas, and garlic naan. For 4 meals we only received 2 small portions of rice. We alerted a server about the order mix up. No steps to fix the problem were taken and in general felt like the waiter we told couldn’t be bothered.

My husband paid since the kormas were eaten with the other appetizers we ordered before it could be fixed. And as a lasting impression, we asked for take home sauces to go with our leftovers and got none.

We decided that we were going to start going to Salem for Indian and see if that is better. The dining experience just isn’t worth it there for us any more (plus the cocktails are all juice when seated in the dining room compared to the bar area)

Our total bill for 2 beers, 1 mai tai, 1 naan, appetizer combo, and 4 meals was just over 180 without tip.

A must-go in Beverly. We ordered two dishes, chicken biryani and tikka. Both tastes authentic. Be careful choosing your spicy level, it can come really hot! The portion is big, so we weren’t able to finish either of them. I will definitely come back!

Amazing chutneys and great flavors from the Tandoori Mixed Grill and masala sauce. We ordered everything at “hot” spice level since most Indian restaurants aren’t really spicy, but this place actually puts in “hot!! amount of spice. Be ready if you get hot. My only complaint is that the tandoori grill was not freshly grilled, seems reheated.

If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. Good atmosphere and prices. The service was good but could be a bit more attentive. Otherwise a great experience.

Mixed feelings about this place. There are lots of indicators of bad food that you pick over the years – seeing more non-Indians than Indians eating at a place / reviewing it online, restaurant itself being in a rundown neighborhood and looking dingy on first sight. Despite all of that, we enjoyed our food. Curries were just right, though the lunch portions were small. Naans were a bit chewy but came out fresh and hot. Everything took time and we wondered several times when the food was going to come. We got complimentary dessert at the end (each of us were offered one but we ended up taking just one for the table). Overall, it ended up being much better than what I expected when I walked in.

We went on Christmas Day, it was our first time at this very popular restaurant that is always recommended. Unfortunately the staff were very curt with us and overall unwelcoming. We got the appetizer sampler which was a big mistake, it was not fresh. The lamb was so dry it looked like jerky. You could tell the food wasn’t fresh just a bunch of reheated leftovers. We ate it anyways. WE GOT THE WORST FOOD POISONING OF OUR LIVES. I WAS CRYING AND PRAYING FOR IT TO END. literally so horrible and we know we got the food poisoning from Anmol cus it was the only thing we ate that day. Such a shame.

Our first time here and I was blown away. I can be unadventurous in new restaurants but the incredible smell coming from the kitchen got me to expand my comfort zone and try things I never had. All the chutneys were lovely, the lamb kabob was outstanding, and the naan was like a cloud on the inside. Everything was wonderful and flavorful, and the staff were prompt and helpful.

Our new local favorite place!

We ordered dal makhni, we got the worst dal makhni experience ever. Couldn’t figure out what was that actually! Shrimp and chicken vindalu was okay.. Pretty average though. And both gravy tasted same. Expensive a bit.

Ordered takeout at 5:30pm as we were finishing up a visit to friends before returning home to NH. Ordered veg tikka masala, chicken korma and chicken madras. So disappointed to get home and find just chicken korma, chicken tikka masala and extra container of rice! We like their food but getting the order wrong and paying for a dish we didn’t get is a ripoff.

This was my second time trying Indian food (perhaps not the best judge on taste) and I drove a distance to try it based on the great reviews! Unfortunately I was letdown, the service was ok. The food had great presentation but not what I expected . I loved the detailed boat napkins. Also the mango Lassi was delicious!
