Originating in New York City, Nami Nori is a casual temaki bar specializing in open-style sushi hand rolls. Our menu features signature temaki, including crunchy varieties, as well as takes on the classics and a special vegan section. The open-style temaki allows guests to enjoy a wide variety of flavors, in each fun-to-eat, visually tempting bite. We also serve Japanese-inspired snacks and appetizers, along with a selection of beer, sake and wine, available on tap and by the bottle.

I am glad that VA Beach has a Nami Nori! Mainly because there aren’t many (if any) completely gluten free kitchens in Hampton Roads. The oceanfront is desperately in need of more restaurants with high-quality food, like Nami Nori.
I understand that high-quality ingredients aren’t cheap or easy to come by, but the cost for what you get is a little wild. There’s no reason that the bill should be over $200 for 2 drinks, 1 app, 2 temaki sets (mostly vegetarian), and a dessert (4 churros). We had a reservation but service was slow and disorganized. The time between getting drinks, the appetizer, and the entrees was lengthy. It’s also a personal pet peeve of mine when the bill is over $100 and they give you a ToastTab (handheld payment device) to pay the bill. Please use a checkbook. It elevates service.
The food was incredible. I enjoyed the salmon sashimi and temaki sets. The drinks were okay, we didn’t get the correct sake that we ordered. Churros were delicious! I left with a happy stomach and felt satisfied.

This place is so good. I went here 2 times in one month. One as a treat before valentines day and one weekend with family visiting. I did have my baby with us and didnt know they dont have high chairs but they were still very accommodating and set us off to the side in a quiet area.
The food was just as good as the first time I had it. Great flavors, very fresh. My favorite is the XO scallop, sooo good. I also tried a lychee cocktail and it was delicious.
If you are looking for a date spot or having an important 1 on 1 for a business lunch or dinner this is the spot.

Excellent experience and first time at Nami Nori. They were booked for reservations so we took a chance and asked about the bar and were able to be seated. The staff is so friendly and we had a great experience with Jordan at the bar. The restaurant is completely gluten free and there are several vegan options. Everything is a treat to the eyes and taste buds.

I had such a good experience here. The hand rolls were fresh, well balanced and packed with flavor. The crispy shrimp and salmon were my favorites. The churros were a fun surprise and came out warm with the perfect sugar crust. Drinks were great too, especially the matcha cocktail.
The space feels bright and calm and the staff were so friendly. It’s a solid spot for a relaxed dinner or nice date night. I’ll definitely be back!

Food was amazing we didn’t know we needed reservations to get seated ! Luckily my manz ! Knew a few staff and ppl we had taken our daughter for her birthday!. and they made things happen in. A nice cut !. With a nice outside view !. In my opinion i just feel like they can replace the hostess with someone. More friendly and talkative! Nevertheless everyone and everything was an amazing experience!. And would definitely go here again mochurros were a blast !. the chicken ta*** something as appetizers were amazing ! With the white sauce everything was a great experience!. And i love how they made things happen for my teenage daughter… thank u nami nori for this experience we spent about $100 for 4 ppl which take it all lol cause yall worth it !.bathrooms are nice clean and give u a whole different experience!. Nami Nori is an incredible new addition to Atlantic Park by the Dome. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our chef Ray was awesome and made the experience even better.
I ordered the toro and scallion, XO scallop, and Hokkaido uni temakis, and each one was outstanding. We also added a few appetizers, including the caviar service and the furikake fries. The fries were great, but I wish we tried them with mentaiko too.
If you love high quality temaki and a relaxed but thoughtful dining experience, Nami Nori is absolutely worth visiting. Highly recommend!

Hands down best service and experience I’ve had at a sushi restaurant in a while.
Everyone was so nice , especially Bri our server. Great recommendations, preparation , service , and quality.
We sat the higher sushi bar and had a great experience with Mike and Kevin. Their energy and enthusiasm for the food made the experience 10x better , not that it needed to be better! We will 100% be back.

Nami Nori is a fun eating experience and big thanks the Dexter & our Sushisrista ! The Tempura Misto was a fantastic starter – calamari, shrimp, onion & zucchini in a wonderfully textured & flavored tempura & dipping sauce! We really enjoyed the pick 5 temaki experience. Some we enjoyed were: 1) Coconut Shrimp 2) California 3) Red Crab California 4) Spicy Crab Dynamite 5) Crispy Fish 6) Tuna Poke 7) Fried Oyster 8) x/o Scallop 9) Spicy Tuna 10) Salmon Serrano
