This was one of the most interesting places my family has visited. Let me give you the break down
Restaurant: It’s easy to see that this is mostly a carry out place and indeed that’s what we saw while we were eating. Out of the 5-6 customers that came in while we were there we were the only ones who sat down and ate. There are tables and places to sit but it’s fairly run down, there is stuff kind of everywhere but the tables were clean. It was pretty warm inside when we were there, I recall some sort of fan being by the door but it wasn’t helping too much. A hot summer day inside would likely be pretty tough. We came in on a rainy humid 80 degree day and after 40 min I was ready to leave the building because I was hot.
Food: We ended up ordering at least one of all they had still left which Included ribs and chicken. The chicken we got was half a bird and it was fairly good, not the best I have ever had but a solid entry that was pretty juicy and had a nice flavor. For the ribs we got both pork and beef ribs to try them out. They were both pretty tough to chew but had a nice overall Smokey flavor but the toughness of them ruined my experience despite the excellent sauces they had available. The corn bread however was really dense, loaded with actual corn and very good. Might be some of the best I have this far north.
The staff: The lady running the kitchen was a Character for sure. She was your classic bossy , this is my kitchen, kind of woman. Some people will be put off by this but my family including my two young children loved it. She was attentive and provided us a great experience. So much so I almost raised my review of the food despite how tough the meat was just so I wouldn’t hurt her and the business but I leave honest reviews so my rating of the food is what it is.
Summary: if you planning on ordering for pick up this is a decent place to get some BBQ. Order early though because this plays sells out pretty quickly. My family alone was responsible for the last of the ribs and while we were there the lady working the kitchen had to tell people on the phone that what they wanted was either sold out for the day or wouldn’t be available for a couple of hours.

Solid food. Got a half rack and potato salad. Very generous amount for a half rack, awesome potato salad. Buyer beware, they’re hot sauce is HAWT. I’ll be back for sure.

Felt like I was down south with Renee’s hospitality and friendly conversation. The food was amazing, chicken ribs some best I’ve ever eaten!

Absolutely horrible I found small black hairs on my ribs and I said something about it and the woman told me to leave. All I wanted was a good meal the woman was horrible I believe it was Rene and her husband just sat there and laughed. Seems crazy to me that I would be treated this way over mostly likely a honest mistake of hair falling on food it happens I get it and all I wanted was a new plate. The response was un called for. I highly advise to not eat here people like this don’t deserve the money of the public. If you want ribs and are in that area please for heavens sake just run up hill to poppies redds. Way better food and amazing people and service.

Amazing food! Best potato salad I’ve ever had, great mac and cheese, fabulous ribs! The best part of the whole meal though was the cornbread. It was the most delicious and moist cornbread ever! A group of friends and I went for the first time last night and had a great time. Renee is a crazy character who made the whole experience that much better! Very down to earth and funny.

Had to call a few days back to back cause the beef ribs were not there. They were waiting on their vendor to drop them off. However the wait was totally worth it. They even called me when the vendor arrived to let me know that have the ribs. That was totally professional because ive never had a restaurant do that before ever. I ordered whole slab of beef ribs. Omg omg omg. And iam not one to over exaggerate anything. So when i say omg three times its actually a understatement! They were the best beef ribs ive had in my entire life. Perfectly cool. Sauce was on point and extremely tasty. Man ive been dreaming about my next order and can’t wait until then lol. But you wont be disappointed. Give it a try you wont regret it !!

The ribs are very tasty. The sauce for the ribs is some of the best sauce that I have ever had in my life. The chicken wings there are very large and are very flavorful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great barbeque dinner.
