I was visiting a nearby town for the weekend and Google searched brunch spots. I stumbled upon this absolute gem! The attentiveness and hospitable nature of every person on the floor was exceptional. My friend is really particular about food and is known for modifications but they not only accommodated but excelled at accurately preparing his meal. As for myself, I am in the restaurant/hospitality industry so I try to be the least obtrusive and difficult. My plate was nothing less than perfection. I have not been this thoroughly pleased with a dining experience in a long while. The entire staff should take a bow and be applauded for a sensational job well done!! Thank you much

First time here and the service was really great. The mango mimosas were very good, however, I wish they had a pitcher but it’s all good. I got the Steak and Eggs and everything on the plate was cooked very well. Potatoes were seasoned well. It will be on my “Going back” list of restaurants I’ve been to while in RGV.

My pancakes had egg shell in them.
My pancakes were served on a hot plate (good) with fresh fruit. You don’t put cold fresh fruit on a hot plate.
This place has really gone down hill since it opened. One star, not going back.

From our Door Dash delivery – We had a disappointing order tonight. Ordered the Classic Oscar Filet and they substituted it with a ribeye steak without approval – they probably did call about that which I had a missed call from a door dash number. I called back twice but no one answered.
The steak they substituted was burnt.
Also ordered the street tacos and that was disappointing as well. The taste was so bland! All I can taste were the tortillas. The included sauce turned out to be only red colored water, no flavor at all. This place used to be great! I don’t know what happened to Griffin Grill. Several months ago we ate there for lunch and a roach was crawling around at our table. I guess the quality they used to care about tanked. We will never eat here again.

Update 1/11/2025 – we decided to drive the extra 25 minutes to eat an early dinner. The service was still very good and the service just as well. We had guacamole for appetizers and it was simple and freshly made; highly recommended. We had Diablo Shrimp which is very spicy. Honey chipotle shrimp is less spicy but very good. Chicken Avocado was also very tasty. 2023 – Brunch – We tried this place again, their brunch which was recommended. Be aware, it is a popular spot for brunch on the weekends. Food and service were fantastic! What a hidden gem! 2023 – Dinner – You walk in a quaint and beautifully decorated restaurant hidden in the middle of a small plaza. Great tasting food at a reasonable price! We each ordered something different and each dish was fantastic. The service was great! The young man that seated us, the young lady that served us and the owner were polite, helpful and friendly! We will be back at a different time of the day to try on the other menus.

My youngest recommended we go to this restaurant. To start if the coffee is delicious…its going to be an awesome breakfast…and It Was. I am from East Texas and was wondering how the biscuits & gravy were going to taste. Loved that they had more than enough chunks of sausage! All our dishes were finger licking good. The restaurant was very well decorated and had a homey chic vibe. There was no rushing even after we had finished our meals. We had a very pleasant and satisfying experience ☺
