The service was great. At first we thought our waitress was named Karen, but she ended up being wonderful.
If you’re looking for an elegant dinner experience, this is probably not the place. Be prepared to spend an elegant amount of money while people in hoodies, blue jeans, and ball caps walk by. If you’re going to allow this, at least throw some potatoes and asparagus on the plate with the steak!
Enjoyed the ribeye. Good portion size and great Caesar’s salad. The sides were excellent. Steak was cooked just right.
Desserts were a bit smaller and the only flavor of ice cream was vanilla. Still excellent steakhouse.
Re: service- the hostess didn’t even talk- no hello, no explanation of how the buffet worked, no one even offered to take photos of the fam with Santa which for over $200 for 2 adults and a small kid I expected at the minimum.
Before the waiter came to take our order, he checked on the table next to us and the lady complained that her prime rib was way too raw. We avoided it. My fiancé ordered the filet mignon, MEDIUM, a lobster tail and side of Mac n cheese. I ordered the beef short rib entree. His lobster tail came out first by a rather miserable looking blond lady. She dropped the plate and left witout a word. I looked at it and said ‘I wouldn’t eat that’. It definitely was previously frozen for awhile and just looked yuck. His filet came out and he cut it in half. It was cold and completely raw and uncooked in the middle. Even the waiter said it was definitely undercooked. He took it back, then brought it back out. The same pieces of meat but they had char marks on them. Now it was overcooked on the outside. He was hungry, so he did start to eat. The manager did come over and ask what went on with the steak and he told him. My fiance did end up eating his food, but regret that decision at 3 am.
My meal was ok. No complaints. We paid $250 for a very, VERY bland, less than mediocre meal. If you’re looking to drop this kind of money on somewhere fancy and delicious…go to Hells Kitchen. Cedars is hanging on by a thread and its unraveling. Not worth that kind of money at all!!
We were a party of three, and when our server first came to the table, she asked only two of us what we wanted to drink and did not acknowledge my wife. After receiving our drinks, we waited 10–15 minutes before our order was taken.
While waiting, we noticed other couples being seated, greeted promptly, offered drinks, and given bread in a timely manner. Our table received bread much later than surrounding tables.
After our food arrived, it was about 15–20 minutes before the first check-in. By that time, I had finished my meal while the rest of my party was halfway through theirs.
I understand it was Valentine’s Day, and holidays can be busy. However, the restaurant did not appear overcrowded, and other tables seemed to be receiving more consistent attention.
Our server (a tall woman with long blonde hair — we didn’t catch her name) appeared attentive to other tables but less so to ours.
We were looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately, our first impression was not a positive one.
We went to the restaurant for a college graduation celebration. We had to make a reservation through the manager weeks in advance. We had nine people in our party. The food was pricey; steaks are not cheap. Everyone one enjoyed their meal. My meal was a little salty and they did over and put the sauce on the side. The server was really nice; she is the reason for the extra star. At the end, they gave us a nice little cake on the house for the celebration. Lastly it’s inside the casino & we park in the Pequot Parking Garage
