Took my daughter to Denny’s for her very first time before school, was hoping to make it a fun memory. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown and we left pretty disappointed.
Our server never wrote a single thing down, then proceeded to get both of our orders wrong. I asked for an extra egg with my meal—it didn’t show up. My daughter ordered over-medium eggs and got a pile of scrambled instead. When we politely pointed it out, the server went into the kitchen and started loudly pressuring the cook. Next thing we know, the cook is yelling back and literally slams the remake plate onto the pass-through so hard I thought it was going to shatter. We fill confident it was the servers fault because he didn’t write our orders down to begin with. There appeared to be no manager on duty.
The whole scene was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly kind of embarrassing to witness with my kid sitting right there. On top of that, the staff hardly even acknowledged us, just felt ignored. Food was meh even when it was finally correct, and the vibe was just off the entire time.
To top it all off, our breakfast came to about $50 after everything for 2 breakfast plates. For that price, with such poor service, wrong orders, and bad attitudes from the employees, I don’t see how this place even stays in business.
Safe to say we won’t be coming back. There are too many other breakfast spots that don’t make you feel like you’re interrupting a family feud just to get some eggs—and charge half as much for a better experience. Hard pass.
. We will back next time.
