Nonno’s is one our favorite restaurants in Madison. The Italian food, nice wine list, good drinks, and really friendly fine service makes the meal enjoyable. Their veal dishes are fantastic. The creme brûlée and other deserts are a great way to finish off a meal. They have a large menu so everyone can find something. So far of all the times we have eaten there, we have not been disappointed in our meal.

We had an excellent dinner there tonight. The service was superb. They don’t rush you, and we usually have enough to take home for another meal. I had Spaghetti Bolognese. For dessert I had Nonno’s coffee with Kaluha, Bailey’s and whipped cream.

I ordered the Gnocchi Alla Crema Di Salvia with added chicken for pickup on a weekday afternoon. The gnocchi was not as soft as I would have wanted but the sauce was rich and creamy. Toasted bread was included as well to help scoop up the delicious sauce.

Every course was a delight from fresh and flavorful oyster appetizers to homemade pasta entrées, bathed in decadent and delicious sauce and filled with high-quality ingredients, to rich and delicious desserts with amazing café Italiano. The top notch quality of service and authentic Italian food you’d expect from a really expensive place but at affordable price prices. Perfect for a celebration and great for “just a night out.”

We enjoyed a Saturday dinner at Nonno’s. It was not too crowded and we were sat right away. The atmosphere was cozy. I appreciated that it was not too dark. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious. Light breading and tender calamari. We had a variety of dishes, which ranged from excellent to slightly underwhelming. The desserts of profiteroles, chocolate lava cake, and creme brulee were all good.

This is a wonderful Italian Restaurant. Our server was very nice. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and personable. I had the chicken marsala, which was phenomenal! The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend making Nonno’s your go-to Italian place.

Food was okay. I didn’t like the red sangria. It tasted sickly sweet. The tiramisu was very chocolately & was very soggy. Carbonara is very creamy but I felt like the added $4 chicken i ordered to be quite skimpy. The mushroom ravioli in the brownie gravy is good. Fresh baked bread is good. Service was friendly. Overall it was pricey for the quality.
