We ate dinner here on a Friday night and were able to get a table right away. We each had a wood fired pizza and they came out quick. The mushroom, olive, and tomato pizza was great. The sauce is perfect and not too sweet. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was excellent. The sausage is finely ground and extra crispy. They also had Moretti in the bottle which is sometimes hard to find at a restaurant. We had great service from everyone as well. We’ll definitely be back.

Before visiting Pino Italian Restaurant, I was recovering from being extremely sick with food poisoning. I had not eaten a single thing all day, and the only food that sounded appealing was good authentic one bite review worthy pizza. I spent a long time searching for the ideal place because this meal absolutely had to count. Pino did more than count. It delivered an experience I will not forget.

When we walked in, you could instantly feel this was a family owned and family run restaurant. Warm, authentic, proud. We were seated right away, and right after our waiter came to take our order, the manager walked over, and told us we make excellent selections and it would be the best we ever had. He was right.

The wings came out first, and this is where things got surprising. I wanted a place that offered hot wings, but I was worried they would be an afterthought. As soon as the plate hit the table, the buffalo aroma hit my soul. My sign of a good wing is when you inhale deep and it tickles your nose in such a way you cannot help but make a funny kind of noise. The kind of involuntary exhale where your body forces out a sound that resembles a lawn mower trying to start. These wings absolutely delivered.

The best part was my wife. She does not usually enjoy wings at all. She hesitated while I started eating, but since we were waiting for the rest of the food, she decided to try one. Her eyes lit up immediately and she looked at me and said These are very good.

Then came the pizza. This was the moment I had been saving my appetite for. The prosciutto pizza had the perfect crust. Thin yet structured with a light airy dough on the inside that still holds its shape. One bite and we both knew this was something special. Easily the best pizza we have ever had.

The fettuccini Alfredo was another standout. It was not the typical heavy thick style that so many places serve. It was different. More buttery with incredible flavor and chicken sliced thin and cooked perfectly. They even served it with a cup of real cheese to sprinkle on top. This ended up being the best Alfredo we have ever had.

At one point, I overheard the manager talking with a regular, and you could feel the genuine love this family has for Italy. The culture, the food, the stories behind their recipes. It felt like stepping into a piece of Italy in Scottsdale.

Every person we interacted with treated us with kindness. Before we left, I made sure to tell the manager that yes, this truly was the best pizza and the best Alfredo we have ever had.

As we walked to our car carrying a takeout box, a woman pulling in saw it, smiled, and said Best pizza ever. You know a restaurant is good when strangers in the parking lot greet you like you’ve joined a secret club.

Pino did not just serve great food. It gave us an experience worth remembering. The kind of place you immediately add to your must return list.

Open 17 years? How have i never come across this place before now. I had a great experience. Very nice place. Great music and i love the open kitchen. I was very glad to see a wood fired pizza oven. I was searching for a new place to try some pizza (I’m running out of places to try) and i wasn’t disappointed here. I was greeted by a older gentleman and felt right at home. Service was spot on. I can’t remember my server’s name but he was so professional and knowledgeable about pizza and wine and food I thought he was the owner at first. I always try a margarita when trying a new place. Crust was flavorful and crispy with a nice chew to it. Not burnt on the bottom which i was glad to see. Sauce was a bit on the sweet side but very good and tasted very fresh and light. Not too heavy on the seasonings. The only downside was the sliced tomatoes, which don’t belong on a true Neapolitan style margarita. But it worked. Also i needed a side of fresh basil to add to the pizza. The menu looks amazing and i can’t wait to go back and try more. The patio looks very comfortable so when the weather cools off i think I’m going to be a regular at this place. recommended!!!!

I didn’t want to battle traffic, so I decided to stall for dinner—and I’m so incredibly grateful I did. Pino Italian Restaurant is a true treasure. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and authentically Italian. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service and the unforgettable dining experience.

This wasn’t just dinner—it was a culinary moment. The chef came table-side to personally discuss our meal, offering a level of personalization I’ve never experienced before. It felt like a private chef’s table in the heart of Italy. Every dish was perfectly timed and delivered with care, thanks to a phenomenal server who seemed to read our minds.

The flavors, the atmosphere, the people—everything about this restaurant was magic. I will gladly make the 48-minute drive again and again, just to relive this experience. So happy I found this place… Pino, you have a new lifelong fan!

I visited this restaurant 5/19/2025. This restaurant is amazing. The service was excellent. The man that kept checking on us was so nice and the whole staffing crew was just amazing and prompt. The staff and service alone was amazing and made us so comfortable but the food…..the FOOD was absolutely delicious. I got the smoke salmon pasta and it was so delicious and crave able. I will definitely be back for that pasta alone. The apps we had were the wings and the small bread and cheese with a sauce for the bread that was so yummy and full of flavor. The wings were so juice and perfectly spicy. My sister had the caccioepe pasta and I tried some and that was so delicious as well. They cook with their hearts here that is for sure! You can taste it in the food.
The dessert was the perfect ending to the whole experience. We had the banana split with bruleed bananas, the decadent tiramisu and the hazelnut cake. I am picky about my tiramisu and this one was perfect! I have nothing bad to say about this place! The only regret I have is not being able to try the whole menu DEFINITELY gube this place a try!

We were visitors to the area and did a Google search and found Pino. We were not disappointed. We were greeted at the door and promptly seated. Marco, the proprietor and grandson of the founder of the restaurants, explained their concept to us. I ordered one of the summer specials Tagliatelle Bolognese with meatballs (all fresh made including the pasta). My husband had the shaved prime rib which was served on fresh made bread with fresh French fries. We also enjoyed the Farmer’s Vegetable Plate which was par cooked in the wood fired oven – they were amazingly fresh with the use of olive oil and minimal seasonings. As we completed our dinner Marco offered us ice cream – it was the La Bomba! It was gelato at least 2 types of chocolate with a cherry in the center with of the globe dipped in crunchy chocolate coating.

(Of note, the tagliatelle bolognese was made exactly as I was taught at the Cooking School of Florence.)

The food and service was amazing. Everyone we mentioned Pino to for the remainder of our stay in Phoenix had been there as a regular, knew Marco and every person recommended the restaurant. If and when we are in the area, we will be back and we will tell anyone visiting the area to eat here!

A fantastic restaurant with truly authentic pizza. They were very attentive to my husband’s lactose intolerance and prepared a special Italian aglio e olio pasta for him, which was excellent. For dessert I had their homemade strawberry cheesecake and it was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Our waitress was excellent. She recommended items based on what we were looking for.

The sangria was refreshing. We ordered a burrata appetizer and a side caesar salad. My bf liked the burrata, I let him finish it cause the bread was a little too rustic for me. The bread was hard and had a hole in the middle so it was less bread more crunchy crust. The Caesar salad was good.

We each ordered pastas. I loved the pasta, the noodles were soft and the sauce was vibrant. We also ordered a tiramisu and it was very spongy.

We also got a pizza to go, that was really good.

Everything was wonderful, the service food the restraints was cozy. The only improvement to give it 100 percent would be to change the music. When going into and authentic Italian restaurant I am gearing up to hear Italian music or old rat pack style music, not R&B or smooth jazz. They get that right it’ll be my favorite spot!
