The best! Unique place and to be honest, the best part was the attendants!thank you so much Didi! You are the best! Kind, professional and very helpful. I was surprised with the size of the plates and the price, very big portions and very good price, very tasty food. No complaints whatsoever.

I am writing to share feedback regarding our experience during our visit on January 2, 2026, specifically involving one of your servers, Tammy L.

What was intended to be a relaxing visit quickly became upsetting. Upon arrival, our party was seated with us positioned at the far end of the table. Tammy L approached and informed us that the chef would not be serving us because we were “too far out of the way.” While this was disappointing, we still wished to remain seated with our party.(The chef did not mind)

After our order had already been taken by another server, our party felt uncomfortable and offered to switch seats with us so we could be closer together. Once we switched, Tammy L returned with an unprofessional and visibly upset attitude. I explained that we had ordered the same items as the guests we switched with, yet we were told that this had “thrown off the order,” despite no actual changes to the food.

From that point forward, we were largely ignored. Tammy L focused her attention on the two guests who had moved into the original seats—the same area where we were initially told service would not be provided. Our food was served separately from the rest of our party, creating confusion and detracting from the experience. Additionally, our meals arrived cold and with noticeably smaller portions compared to those served to the rest of our group.

Overall, the experience felt disrespectful, and unprofessional. I was very disappointed by the attitude and handling of the situation. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will be our last.

The food I ordered did not look like the photo described on the website that is seriously false advertisement although the food was delicious, but the portion was a little too small for the price I paid for and I can get double the portion for the price I paid at a different restaurant.

What an amazing Experience as a young couples who had children early… my wife and i both in our 40’s we highly recommend Diego our young chef inspired by his family to pursue the culinary industry was incredible! Our server/hostes Becca was amazing and friendly and accommodating as can be!! keep in mind it’s date night and we started early…!! both made our expirence unforgettable!! thank you to both!!!

First and foremost our waitress DeeDee was spectacular. If we return it is because of her.

We dined in rather than do the tepenyaki do to time constraints. The food came out quickly, but was smothered in teriyaki sauce which for my teenage son was great for great. However my NY steak beyond the sauce was bland. My wife enjoyed her seaweed salad.

The food was ok, but pricier than the quality. The cleanliness needs to be addressed. The decoration shouldn’t have old splatters of food and clearly the furniture needs repair.

I doubt I will come back, but as mentioned at the start our waitress was amazing and she saved the experience.

Enjoyed a nice lunch and sat in a spacious booth. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the Mallory roll and never had it prepared this beautifully before. It was fresh and delicious. Bacon fried rice was just as good at traditional dinning as it is at the grill. Large portions all around. This place is consistent with their quality and service. Never a bad meal.

I’m shocked and disgusted. My partner and I usually go to Sakura Chaya’s other location and have always had a great experience, so today we decided to stop by the Clovis location since we were in the area. Big mistake.

While eating, we noticed a cockroach crawling right on the counter by our food. Absolutely unacceptable for any restaurant. It immediately made us question the cleanliness and food safety here, we quite literally watched it crawl into the space under where the raw fish is.

We immediately let our waitress know, and she went ahead and told the manager. The managers solution was giving us 10$ off our bill….pretty disturbing considering the fact roaches spread bacteria and contaminate food. We won’t be coming back to this location, If management doesn’t address this issue immediately, they’re going to lose loyal customers for good.

Friendly staff , however felt a bit rushed. Other Restaurants have made dinner much more entertaining, felt like I did all talking with Chef. We went for birthday dinner had to ask waitress if sing happy birthday & she forgot drink, did not check on us.

So I’ve gone here several times. I hadn’t been here in over a year because of previous experiences, but it didn’t change. Every time I’ve gone I’ve had horrible experiences. The service is bad and they don’t listen to the guests when they order things, the cooks I seem to get don’t have fun with the guests (and I see better chefs cooking at other tables performing and giving a show), and the staff is kinda rude. I tired one more time after a year of refusing to go and it was the same thing.
I do not recommend this place. The one on Nees and First is so much better.

Disappointing experience. My family of 5 1/2 were seated like sardines at a table totaling 10 adults and one child. It was an unfair amount of space to fit and eat comfortably. Aside from that inconvenience, our cook had almost zero interaction with us, he spoke a total of maybe five words, he lit a fire at the beginning of his service and that was it. We sat in an awkward silence as we watched other tables being entertained. Being rushed is almost expected at these places however the rush on getting us in and out this time was almost rude. I will not be retuning to this location, this is a fairly high priced meal for a family of 5 1/2, we deserve not just good food but also great service.
