Cute breakfast spot with delicious food, fresh ingredients, prompt service, plenty parking and affordable prices. We stood for a while to be seated but were told it’s self seating. Comfy booths.

We have been coming here for years to get gluten free Chicken and Waffles. It’s always been consistently good. One time in 2025 we got a bad batch but new ones were made and it was fine.

Today we went in for Gluten free chicken waffles and did not have a good experience. To start with there was a woman worker dropping F bombs in the back of the kitchen. That wasn’t appreciated.

We got the Gluten Free chicken and waffles and both of our waffles were mushy undercooked. We sent them back and both were re made. They came out overcooked this time like cardboard. We sent them back and were treated extremely rude by the same lady who was cursing in the back of the kitchen for all customers to hear.

She said “Ive seen you guys come here before, your loads of fun”. and other fun gems like “This is how we cook them, if you don like it, dont come here.” It later evolved into “Dont come here anymore.”

Im very disappointed in the continued downward slope in quality and customer service. Its unacceptable to be spoken to this way.

When traveling I’m always in search of a great omelette. I found one today at Toast. The western omelette I ordered was hot fresh and delicious, quite possibly the best omelette I’ve ever had. It was accompanied by home fries done the right way. And really good fresh toast. Coffee was hot and black, and the service was perfect. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area again. Go Huskies! ☕️

I had one of their weekly specials that was an Eggs Benedict with chorizo and avocado. The home fries had a lot of flavor and so did the hollandaise sauce.

Toast is a cozy, yet always very busy little diner thst serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. They’re open until about one pm and they tend to be busiest (parking all filled up!) on weekends. I had the French toast made with brioche the last time I went and it was heavenly. I gave the service four stars instead of five bc they don’t seem to have enough coverage when it’s really busy. Other than that, I just love it!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for well over a year and a half and was concerned when it temporarily closed down earlier in 2024. Finding out the owners had staffing issues and, since then, having corrected them, Toast, Four Corners was everything i had hoped for.
It is relatively close to the city where i live with an enjoyable ride heading towards the Uconn campus and countryish atmosphere.
There is plenty of free parking to this cozy, cute breakfast and lunch nook. Which doesn’t seem very large until you go in and see it is much bigger, yet comfortable inside. Sunday after 11 am is prime breakfast hours, but we I didn’t have to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. Service was very courteous and prompt, not rushing to take an order while deciding. Options from regular breakfast to omelets, sandwiches, waffles ( with chicken), pancakes, gluten free, and the like to their own creation of ” the pile” ( caserole style dish).
Comfortable, bright, open place with good food and service that will make you want to try it for lunch. Definitely will be on my rotation as one of my local breakfast stops.

Been here before, but never eaten because of the long wait times.
Now I know why there’s long wait times is because it takes a long time to get your food. The food was very good and worth the weight, but if you’re in a hurry,, this is not the spot.

WOW – went here with concerns regarding gluten free food (celiac). I have been many places and this by far outstood them all for breakfast items for Gluten Free concerned parties (and honestly for anyone). The service was attentive and friendly. Every staff member greeted us warmly and quickly. The food options and replacement options were numerous, more than most AND with bigger portion sizes and tasted not like they were gluten free. Better – no sickness so it went well. This is a GEM. Will be returning regularly!

Toast fell off. If you had come here a year ago you’d have loved it. Calling the service slow is an understatement (order was in for 45 mins before being served). Food was middle of the road (pancakes were crispy and Swiss cheese in an omelette is a bad idea for anyone). The famous toast is very small. Canadian bacon is more of a suggestion of food than an actual side. $37 for two people with drinks. They do not use any nuts here.
