Meals were great. I’d like to go again as our reservation for outdoor seating was changed by staff to an indoor cubby area. We watched an empty outdoor table for an hour until someone more important then our group was given the prime spot. Waitress was friendly. Bathrooms needed attending.

Tonight was our first time at the beach house. Everything was amazing. We sat outside on the patio and had a great water view enjoyed watching all the boats on the water as we sipped our old fashions. The food was delicious. We had the Parker rolls for an appetizer. They were so fluffy and good. They serve them with a bacon jam, sage butter, and spicy butter. For dinner, I enjoyed the filet Oscar, and my husband had the Pork ribeye marsala. They were prepared to perfection. Served hot and fresh! For dessert, we shared the bananas foster bread pudding, and it was outstanding!

The Beach House Restaurant in Decatur has become one of my go-to spots under the new ownership. The Filet and mac & cheese are among my favorites. Great drinks and bar area as well. The upscale remodel looks fantastic and really sets the tone for a great dining experience. The atmosphere is hands down the best in town, especially with the view overlooking Lake Decatur and the new marina. It’s clear the new owners are making positive changes, and it shows in both the food and the overall vibe. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views, friendly staff, and large portions! I had the airplane chicken which was served on a corn compote and the corn mixture was so flavorful and unique! It was a bit pricey in my opinion in comparison to the offerings and atmosphere but the portions were huge so might be just what you’re looking for if you’re really hungry!

Today we visited this restaurant since the new ownership occurred. The food is still absolutely wonderful. Heather took great care of us. We truly enjoyed our experience. It is a beautiful atmosphere!

I recently visited the newly renovated Beach House Restaurant on Lake Decatur, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The renovations are stunning—clean, coastal vibes with a modern touch that perfectly complements the amazing lakefront view.
I stopped in for lunch and tried the Cubano Sammie and a cup of their lobster bisque—both were delicious! The flavors were spot on, and the presentation was great (photo attached!). The lunch menu had a great variety of options, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Whether you’re a Decatur local or visiting the area, I highly recommend checking out the new Beach House Decatur IL. Perfect spot for a relaxing meal with a view!

Came for my birthday dinner. Food, cocktails and dessert were so good! Swapped out my Mac for a different side but overall a 9/10. Timing of everything was spot on.

Ordered the 8 oz steak with the French onion soup and it was really good! The garlic homemade mashed potatoes were good but not as hot as I would have liked them. And I’ve never been a fan of the string green beans because no restaurant cooks them enough and they taste like rubber. Service was awesome, mixed drink was phenomenal! Had not been here in a really long time so it was a nice change of pace. Kind of pricey for Decatur. I really wanted the sea bass but refused to pay $44 LOL

Amazing time here. Food was amazing. I don’t offer my compliments to the chef often but made it a point to call out the amazing jambalaya here. For being in Illinois and not New Orleans this was a pleasant surprise. Everyone in our party had similar experiences with the hot ham and cheese, which was a big hearty serving to the pretzel chicken. I can’t wait to come back and try the seafood! Loved it.
