I like to eat seafood but I was fighting for my life with those crab legs, I had so much fun having lunch with my little sister. The boom sauce was spicy and buttery, the seaside decor was like being at one of those 80 restaurants on TV with a bit of a modern flair. We went when it was pretty empty so we got our food shortly after ordering. The waitress was nice and helpful with how to instructions. Overall price wise too expensive for family dining.

If you’re looking for some of the freshest Seafood in Illinois this is the spots in Southern Illinois. Our first time definitely won’t be our last time. The seafood boils are to die for. Build your own even.

Maybe it was an off day.
The smell when entering wasn’t the appetizing seafood restaurant aroma you would expect. More of a concerning “I think the clams have gone over” sort of odor.
They seem understaffed. Employees were friendly though.
Don’t order the raw oysters. Obviously I didn’t expect them to be air lifted daily to Illinois on ice, or of the highest quality. I did expect better. No flavor. No liquor. I don’t think they were thawed in a manner that allowed for melting ice drainage.
The fried shrimp baskets were great. The hush puppies, fries, cole slaw, onion rings… no complaints. Much enjoyed. Decent size shrimp, light crispy batter. Hush puppies were airy and had a good flavor.
The boil was a disappointment. Lobster tail was one bite of tough meat. Shrimp were good size, but tough. The corn was nice. The crab legs were so skinny that they didn’t merit the effort. I cannot speak on the sausage as no one ate any, nor the potatoes.
There were four in our group. To give an idea of price: 4 meals, order of onion rings, 1/2 dz oysters, cheese sticks, 3 soda, three beer, roughly $175 plus tip. Nothing outrageous there.
Final thought: I would go for fried shrimp and beer, outside in fine weather.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. It was a bit of a wait due to the amount of others eating as well, however our waiter was extremely friendly and kind. He made sure to bring our drinks quickly and checked on us often. I wish I remembered his name. The food was perfect. We will return!

The place was clean hostess was nice. As for the food price, a lot of the crab legs had little to no meat in them. We had four people get crab legs and we’re only given two cracking utensils. We repeatedly asked for two more and we’re ignored by the server. As far as the service goes, it needs a lot of work. Our waitress was nice but when it came to asking if we needed anything she would literally walk by the table saying that and hoping that we wouldn’t ask for something. We caught on to this and just chalked it to she had more important things to do like stand at the hostess station.

This restaurant has been around for some time now. The location uses to be another crab/seafood restaurant. This restaurant is across the street from Red Lobster. So I notice it every time I’m there. I always notice that there are not very many cars there, which kind of gave red flags. Nonetheless my people wanted a seafood boil ans this is the closest restaurant that advertised them. When we arrived we were greeted with fast and friendly service. There were about two more parties seated. The wait for food was fairly quick. I can’t remember the name of the boil I ordered. It was one of the daily specials that included lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, and sausage. Thw food was decent. However, the raw oysters tasted funny and were a bit gritty. More gritty than the usual, and I eat them all of the time.

I usually come for the King Crab which a pound was $70. Well I came today and they are $90 for the same amount. I already thought $70 was ridiculous so definitely not paying $90. I’ll be going back to Crab Landing where they are reasonable yet great. This place was just closer to me but I’ll drive a lil further to save. They lost a customer. Everything went up but yet the menu hasn’t changed smh… Should sell as price advertised until you correct the menu.

The food was great. The waitress was spread pretty thin so it was hard to waive her down when we needed utensils. They offer a 10% military discount

Food was over all very good. I will say though my husband did say his green muscles were not super clean they had fuzzy stuff on the outside of them and sand in some of them, but one of them came with a baby crab inside of it. We will be back because overall it was a good experience we just wouldn’t order the muscles again.

Good food, our server was good just overwhelmed, but I don’t know what’s going on with the atmosphere. The ghost of the former asian restaurant is all over the place, the main decor is more akin to a cheap knockoff red lobster, the kid’s playground outside has broken glass everywhere from the broken strip lights surrounding the area, and at one point there were two TVs playing hockey, one playing Fox News, and then there was a large screen in the back dining area (I think it’s about 96″ of projector screen) playing a wedding video from an African Orthodox reception.
