Intrigued by its perfect 5-star rating, we decided to give Home Roots Bistro a try during our one-night stay in Middleborough. The restaurant has a stylish ambiance, and it’s connected to a brewery (according to a local article we found the two owners are long time friends and opened their businesses jointly).
My wife raved about her Cobb salad, but it was the BBQ Pulled Pork and Pork Belly Cuban sandwiches that truly stole the show. The complex flavors were a testament to the chef’s culinary expertise. It’s rare to encounter such a passion for food reflected in every bite. My son, not easily impressed, declared it the best meal he’s ever had in Massachusetts.
After careful consideration, I couldn’t dispute his claim. These sandwiches were extraordinary. The burnt ends we took home for the next day were equally impressive.
If you’re traveling to or from Cape Cod, make a detour to Home Roots Bistro. This is a restaurant that wholeheartedly deserves its perfect rating.

The place was so lively and not like anything I have seen before. The sun was shining, people were enjoying themselves, it was such an awesome place and I’m definitely going again. The food was DELICIOUS as well. The BBQ Pulled Pork was so savory and so was the Prosciutto Chicken Cutlet. The Caprese flatbread was the perfect combination of flavors, probably my favorite thing. The tomato’s were so juicy and the balsamic was seriously the perfect touch. I’m not surprised this place has 5 stars.

This establishment is amazing! There have been a lot changes and improvements to Middleboro over the years. Homerootts is a welcomed addition embraced with love by all of the locals! Whether you are dining in and enjoying a beverage from the neighboring brewery or ordering take out, you will not be disappointed!

We had the Reuben, Short Rib melt, maple glazed brussels, and maple glazed burnt ends. I would order the maple items again but with “just a little sauce” because it was too saucy for me (personally). Each dish was equally amazing and had it’s own distinct flavor profile.
The restaurant shares space with the brewery and the place was hopping on a Friday night. Lots of friends, couples, and a few families. A lot of take-out orders.
This was our fist time visiting and we will definitely be back!

Great food, done for you when you are there. The flavors and presentation are amazing, and the portions are big. The kitchen is super clean. Next door, you can get beer and cider and sit outside.

Kids Meatball sub was $10 for 1 meatball cut in half on a 3 inch bun with chips. No service available, ordered at counter and was texted to pick up. Loaded with kids screaming even though staff tried to get them to quiet down and signs posted not to leave kids unattended. Flat bread was ok but cold by the time my wife’s sandwich came out. Burned ends app was awesome best part of meal but $90 for a flatbread, kids sub, sandwich and app was way over priced. Kind of felt insulted at size of my daughters sub.

Homerootts Bistro is a great spot to get a little something to eat! Located in the same building as Harper Lane Brewery this cool little restaurant offers some fantastic options for everyone. The pretzel bites are my personal favorite. You can order take out or dine in whichever you prefer. I’ve had many things off their menu, and I can honestly say I’ve never had something that I didnt like or that I was disappointed in. Everything has been top notch. The staff are friendly, super fast and very helpful. If you’re in the area its a must go to!
