Reviews
Nearly 8 hours of driving and we were getting pretty hungry. After visiting a local toy shop this was the only restaurant I saw and reviews seemed decent. I saw the spinach and artichoke dip and decided we would give it a shot. The dip was decent but I wasn’t a fan of the chips. They looked nice and fancy but just weren’t to my liking. I think I kind of filled up on that. Hubby got the cheese curds which is a favorite appetizer for him, he was not impressed but I thought they were okay. The meal came and I had trouble eating my Philly cheesesteak sandwich due to the bread not being soft, because I have braces. That was a bummer but most people would like it toasted and I didn’t think to ask for soft bread. I just ate the guts of the sandwich with a fork but the flavor was just not great. Hubby had the black jack chicken wrap and turns out he wasn’t a fan on the blackened part. (Well aware that’s probably the point of this dish and it just wasn’t for him) The service was decent we just didn’t enjoy the meal sadly. We didn’t even get boxes because we didn’t want to eat the leftovers. We never leave food behind like that! The waitress was nice and remembered I didn’t want ice when she brought me a refill. I hated wasting food but with several hours left driving to get home, and not enjoying it fresh, we decided it wasn’t worth bringing it home. The atmosphere was nice and it wasn’t busy at the time we went. Just wasn’t the right meal for us, unfortunately. Lately I keep striking out with beef dishes, so I think I’ll be sticking to chicken dishes for a while. It’s possible my tastes have just changed since I haven’t been eating beef at home.
We had bang bang shrimp which was good. We also had cheese bites which were ok. The beer on tap was fresh and good.
We had the gyro which was dry stale pita and overcooked dry meat not eaten and onion rings which were good. We had steak alfredo which was overcooked and chewy with Alfredo that was nothing like Alfredo and not eaten. We had the loaded fries and the pork on top was uncooked and It was not eaten. We had the high pointe fish which was not good but eaten. We also had chicken Francesca which was like lemon noodle soup and lightly touched.
They took off the steak and $5 off for the gyro.
SERVER WAS GREAT.
$160 plus $40 tip. $200.
Then we went to taco bell.
Save your time & $. Dont go here. There is a sign saying hiring for all positions including cooks. They need Gordon Ramsey to come in and fix.
And the carpet was like walking on a duck tape covered floor. The sign at the door said hiring all positions so we should have known better. The food was also slow to come out.
