My wife and I enjoyed eating at Fat Alberts. We were greeted and waited on very professionally. The fried chicken was pretty good and that potato salad wow! I would highly recommend going to Fat Alberts on moss street in Lafayette.

Drove a good miles to eat here because the name and reviews sounded promising. definitely not louisiana style at all. they didn’t even have hot sauce ! ranch wad so generic brand, bread rolls were hard best thing was the hush puppies sadly.

Omg, let me say this was the worst fried chicken ever. The fries was raw as if came out of freezer to microwave. The roll was apparently made homemade just nasty. Chicken was greasy without seasoning. Please stop using the fats Albert’s name cause certainly not FAT’S ALBERTS. I would have taken the food back for a refund if I didn’t lives so far.

Really get your money’s worth and some. Tried the shrimp with a small order of catfish…Hubby tried wing combo. Food was well seasoned and served hot. Staff was very polite which is always a plus….

Definitely not up to par with good fried chicken. Hardly any seasoning, dirty restaurant, hot after being outside in the heat I don’t want to sit and sweat eating chicken. Just not all that. Don’t know where all of the good reviews come from

Drove 8 miles to get there because I had a taste for onion rings and fried chicken, also gizzards. I am not a picky eater but the gizzards were horrible, so rubbery I couldn’t bit them, the onion rings were greasy. The beans Ok,

I am so glad I came across this restaurant! Fresh & hot made when you place order. Best fried chicken I’ve had in Lafayette yet. Menu has alot of variety. And decent prices.

The shrimp poboy was terrible
There were two slices of toasted hoagie type bread and freshly cooked over seasoned shrimp.
They called it a shrimp poboy
Two pieces of crunchy bread and fried shrimp does not make a poboy!!!
The bread should be split open with the 2 sides still connected. Not 2 separate pieces of crunchy bread.
There was no sauce of any kind on this crunchy breaded creation. No lettuce ! No pickle. Just hard crunchy bread that wouldn’t hold any shrimp in it.
Put it this way, when on the road in Louisiana and you stop for a poboy
Fat Albert’s claims to have them
Keep driving when in Lafayette LA looking for a bite
