We came here for lunch on our first day in Trincomalee and absolutely loved what we had – so we came back and had dinner here the next two nights!! Best curries we’ve had in Sri Lanka! They make the curries hotter (and you can ask to have it hotter and they will!!). For lunch we had the fish curry (which they were so generous with the portion!!) and prawn Kottu. The following night we had the crab curry They made it more spicy and it was incredible!! Yes we made a mess, but it was fun and again, they were so generous with the crab servings! On our last night we had the calamari curry. Again it was beautiful. The curries came with plenty of rice, papadums and this delicious mango salad. Our waiter was so kind and friendly, absolutely lovely. And whilst it was quiet as we came in Trincomalee’s off season, it was still a really cool venue, and I can imagine it’s popping in peak season. We would come back in a heart beat! And would recommend this to others

I saw the restaurant recommended in a list online and really wanted to try it. Turns out, it was extremely close to our stay. Every time we passed it on our walk, it was always bustling with people. The vibe’s chill with good music and friendly hosts. We did have to wait a little, but it was worth it. We had crab curry and rice with a side of a super refreshing salad. The crab was as fresh as it gets, huge, juicy, loaded with succulent meat. The curry was aromatic, tempered with a variety of spices, made in traditional Sri Lankan style. Definitely recommend.

Probably the best restaurant in Trincomalee and surrounding. Fresh fish, great service, lovely staff. We came to eat on our first night and it was one of the best recommendations we’ve had. The music and vibes were also great. I had the buffet which was so gorgeous, my family had the calamari and whole fish! Can’t recommend enough! Great value for money! A real Gem!

Nice spacious upstairs dining area, great menu with plenty of choice and friendly, helpful staff. I had a pretty spicy and generous prawn curry with masses of fluffy white rice and my wife had delicious devilled chicken all washed down with passion mojitos and beer. The bill was very reasonable. This is a great family friendly restaurant with loud music downstairs if you want it. We’d definitely come back here. Well worth a visit.

Despite comming off-season the restaurant was open and gave us really good vegetarian food. We had kottu, dhal and coconut sambol with roti and everything was delicious. The restaurant is run by a lovely local family, they even showed us how coconut sambol was made! Highly recommend

Amazing vibes day and night but matched with even better food!
I had crab curry and it took me back to having great homes cooked food, but a refined version with the kuzhumbhu (gravy) so smooth, flavourful and punchy. Lots of my family came at different times and all spoke about their excellent experience!
Hospitality and service was excellent – managed expectations, but also went above and beyond – we were with my 9 month old and when they saw him, they gave him a complimentary large plate of fresh juicy fruits. Also when I knocked my cocktail over (which was soooo tasty) it was replaced free of charge.
Then to find out it is a family run restaurant with the owner’s daughters being the cooks and his son, and nephews from across the country that he has given opportunities to, look after service was refreshing – it is so rare for a restaurant run by a local family to flourish for all the right reasons, so this was great.
Next time we’re back we’ll try and do a cooking lesson in the morning!

Absolutely outstanding! This place serves the best kotta, rotti, and fish I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Every day they offer a wide selection of fresh, high-quality fish, cooked to perfection. Spent 3 nights in Trincomalee. Ate here all 3. It is simply AMAZING!!! I urge everybody to try the veg buffet. So affordable and seriously good. The boys who work there are so sweet and super attentive. They remembered us which was so nice. You can’t miss this place if you come to Trincomalee!

The crab curry is a must try if you come to this restaurant. All the other dishes were average.The staff is friendly and recommends items on the menu. The ambiance gives vacation vibes. There are a-lot of choices for drinks as well.
