Booked a luncheon for 12 people. They put five tables together with seats on each side. They served salad bar on Fridays. The vegetables and sauces were in fair selections. The cream of broccoli soup was hot and smooth. The yellow rice was quite tasted. The Cajun salmon and shrimp were tender and tasty. There were no bread nor desserts on the salad bar.

We were a big group and service was a little spotty but it might have been our server’s first day. It was a very quiet place for happy hour and the selections on the menu were tasty even tho’ most menu options involved grease or batter. The cocktails were tasty and they have us a large pitcher of water for the table which was nice. I’d go back again.

Nothing special here. They do have cheap happy hour (4pm – 8pm). I would stick to easy mixed drinks (whisky and soda or gin and tonic) and things from the bar. Their mixed drinks can be hit or miss and seem like they come from a pre-mix. The food is kinda like what you would find at the Silver Diner (slightly upscale diner/pub food). Servers have always been great and its an easy place to get in and out in an hour. Standard club house feel.

Our server Anirugh was TERRIBLE. We were seated, he left and then came back to take our drink orders. He brought the drinks over and he never came back to check on our table. Never asked how the food was, never asked if we needed anything else, never refilled our drinks, walked past our table several times, asked customers to the left and right of us how they were doing. He asked if they needed any refills. We never got so much as a head nod. After we finished our meal, we had to sit and wait for 15 mins before he came to the table and asked if we needed anything else. No question of how was the food…nothing. I asked for the check and his name. He took my card and brought it back and there was no way I could possibly leave a tip. That was the worst service I have ever received. I work right on campus so I am a frequent customer. If I decide to go again, I will specifically tell them that I DO NOT want Anirugh anywhere near me. BTW…the food was good as always.

Just happened to be up in Maryland for business and visited this fine establishment. We had a great time. The service was exceptional considering how crowded it was and the food was very good. We had some parking issues but there was some construction going on nearby.

It’s run by the University of Maryland, so don’t expect any culinary miracles at this club hangout hidden away on the UMD golf course. But, when the sun is out it’s a real pleasure to be sitting on the patio with a $4 happy-hour craft beer, looking out unto the sporting green. FORE!
