Cash Only. Not a big deal. I actually appreciate a business that uses cash only. There is plenty of parking and easy for handicapped. The restaurant is clean and I liked the dinner atmosphere. The staff couldn’t be more friendly. They were just great. Our food came out very fast. I think the portions were on the small side. I really enjoyed my sausage biscuits and gravy. My wife though her waffles were bland. If we are in the area again I would stop in just because the staff was so pleasant.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant ever since the early 1970s.
It’s one of those local gems that the locals love. Large menu selection and great tasty food. They have expanded since the first restaurant, but don’t be surprised to have a slight wait due to popularity around meal times. I believe one can make a reservation? I feel the prices are very reasonable. Photos show a delicious cheese omelet and eggs Benedict. Best home fries I ever had. This is a definite must try if you are in the area and the wait staff are very friendly and accommodating, most being long time employees. Take note that they only accept cash.

There is good, very good, outstanding, top shelf, and then there is priceless, all 5 star levels in my book. The corned beef hash here is priceless, I knew so at first glance and my taste buds agreed as I shoveled it down quickly, pure lightly fluffed corn beef with a few hash browns, you won’t find better. The lightly scrambled eggs were cooked perfect and covered in top shelf sausage gravy. I was given a choice between extra crisp hash browns or regular, I went with regular, spiced perfectly but I’d recommend the extra crisp. Great crew, keeping the steady flow of customers happy and moving. Yes, I say go here as soon as possible, you’ll be very happy you did.

Update— the wagon wheel is still going strong! Just remember it’s cash only!

Wonderful service with delicious food served quickly at a reasonable price. A really comfortable local place where all the local go. Today our main server, Michelle, had the usual smile on her face as she delivered a beautiful plate of french toast with blueberries.
Really nice: the servers all act like a team, backing each other up and looking after the customers! A great local place!!!

Reasonable breakfast pricing and a great community atmosphere. Wonderful serving staff.

The Chuck Wagon’s one flaw is a lack of flavor, at least during breakfast. The home-fries and “corned beef hash” were (boring) bland. I’m not sure why the cooking staff seem allergic to taste. I had to add an inordinate amount of salt and pepper and I still ended up unable to appreciate the dish, leaving almost all of it behind.

The Wagon appears to make “homemade” corned beef hash by mixing dry crumbled corned beef with home-fries and calling it a day. At least that’s what I have in front of me.

Otherwise we did enjoy our meal and time.

Stopped in one beautiful morning for breakfast and had a very pleasant experience. I love the old style breakfast atmosphere. Unfortunately, places like these are not around much anymore. The staff was very nice and thr bacon was really good. I would definitely return. Not only was the bacon good but the coffee was great!

Lovely little place. Has appropriate COVID precautions. The waitress was very friendly but a little less attentive then I expected. The crab-cake eggs Benedict breakfast was delicious! Some of the other items like the home fries and the turkey bacon left a little to be desired…

I was here once before and got pb chip pancakes, which were great. Today I got a veggie omelet. After biking out in the cold, it came out piping hot and stuffed with vegetables. There was a lot of food between the omelet, potatoes, and toast, but it was all so good I left nothing to bring home with me. The service was friendly and quick.
Just a heads up, they only take cash.

The Chuck Wagon is Ellingtons brrakfast and lunch jewel!! It is like stepping back in time to a coffee shop from the sixties. The food is outstanding, the waitresses are wonderfully friendly and attentive. Exactly what you want in a small country town restaurant. My favorites are 2 scrambled FLAT with bacon and wheat toast. I say flat because you can also order them fluffy but flat is so tasty! The bacon is thick cut, and tastes amazing (i am not kidding best i have ever had) coffee is excellent. For lunch, my favorite is the turkey club with fries. I usually eat half of it and save the rest for another meal!!! Milkshakes are awesome. Enjoy!!!

Darn Good Meat-lovers Omelette.
Chock full of meats and cheese. Nice back in the day diner. Very clean. Lots of locals. Open early. The only negative was no follow-up with water. Easy access and ample parking. Very froggy day.
