Thank you all for making this outing so special and one to remember. It meant so much!
The food was the real standout. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could tell care was taken with both ingredients and execution—nothing felt rushed or generic. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors were balanced and memorable.
What really set this place apart was the consistency: great service, great food, and a space that makes you want to linger a little longer. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or celebrating something special, this restaurant delivers.
Highly recommend—and yes, we’re already planning our next visit.
Next I had the tartare and he had the profiterole. My croustilles were way too hard and his pastry was dry (a drop of sauce would have perked things right up). Then it was time for the plat principal. I had the Texas Wagyu, which was great in itself but the sauce with which is was paired was too bitter and salty for the meat, potato prism, and asparagus sides. My partner didn’t even get a side, just two slices of duck. A slightly sweeter, less acidic sauce (like the duck sauce) would have made the meal perfect. We ordered a side of creamy shells and it lacked flavor, we needed to add salt to bring something out of the cheese sauce (and I never “re” salt my food). The dessert was great, although the red velvet cake was lacking a bit in presentation (not really a big deal though). Overall, this place was good-adjacent, but not as good as it could be. For 80 dollars a person we just wanted more.
I took my family here to celebrate my completion of a big work presentation. We were lucky to have landed on Steak Night! I ordered the $50 filet mignon which comes with a delicious wedge salad (John our waiter recommended the tarragon dressing and it was so so good and refreshing), fries (upgraded my fries to their famous truffle fries), and a carrot zucchini cake (so delectable that even my kids loved it and they hate vegetables!)
The service was perfect. They were attentive and gave great recommendations without being overly attentive.
I ordered a drink made with whiskey and mushroom tincture! It was very good but I think quite pricey. I just stuck with the one drink and it was a perfect amount for the meal.
Overall, I cannot wait to go back. The patio is perfect for a nice day so definitely will be back soon.
The food was average. I had the Asian Crunch salad and it wasn’t anything special. One friend really enjoyed the bison burger- she said it tasted just like a hamburger but better. My other friend enjoyed the Moroccan Curry bowl. The menu was diverse and a few more vegetarian options would make it very special!
Servers were attentive and patient as we stuck around for way too long after the food was cleared. It was a girl’s lunch and we always linger. In our defense, we always plan before or after lunch rush hour and we tip well. The prices are high in my opinion.
Postscript: I returned for a birthday dinner…would still give it 4 stars. Wish portions weren’t shrinking or the Soft Glow wasn’t getting weaker but still lovely experience and great staff.
