My friend and I visited last night and had a mixed experience. We started with two Old Fashioneds, but they were definitely a letdown—overly strong and simply unimpressive.
For our main courses, I had the Parmesan Crusted Pork Loin, and my friend had the flatbread pizza. The entrées were fine, but nothing special enough to justify a return trip.
The absolute highlight of the meal was the Carrot Cake we split for dessert; it was delicious and a great way to end the evening.
The staff was great, the place was busy and clean, and service was prompt. While the ambiance and service were excellent, the mediocre food and disappointing cocktails mean that, all in all, I wouldn’t rush back.

LA Cafe is an absolute gem. Locally owned and managed, it has that welcoming, hometown feel that keeps you coming back. The atmosphere is great—comfortable, relaxed, and perfect whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or a night out. Our first visit was an amazing evening from start to finish! The service was truly exemplary. Our server, Irina (we think!), was absolutely phenomenal! She was really busy but stayed on top of everything the whole time—a huge asset to the restaurant! The speed was also great; the wait time from order to delivery was impeccable. The food was great (try the fettuccini with shrimp!) in a lively atmosphere. Hope to return again soon!

I went with my mom and it was our first time eating here and it most definitely will not be our last. Iryna V was our server and she was so attentive, knew all the food items and their preparation really well and was just overall a friendly and fun person to talk to.
Bread was warm and freshly baked. Appetizer came out quickly and was hot. Main dishes were hot and the steak cooked perfectly. Food portions are large! Iryna made sure our drinks were never empty.
We ate indoors but they also have a lot of (shaded) outdoor patio seating and an indoor pub area across from the indoor dining area where we were. Very clean and can easily accommodate large groups.
Parking is probably the only minor issue as there are only a few handicap spots and limited regular parking right in front of the restaurant. But there are at least 3 lots within a 1-block radius and a very easy, safe walk to the restaurant if you have children or older adults.
Almost did not want to leave a review to keep this local gem all to ourselves (lol) but it is too good of a place to not tell people about it. The food quality, menu variety and portions and Iryna V are the reason we rate LA Cafe so highly as first time customers.
We will be back and try hard to save room for dessert next time. See you again soon, Iryna!

I was working near Whitestown and decided to try another local eatery. LA Cafe did not disappoint! I had filet medallions, a baked potato and an amazing raspberry salad. Wine selection is super impressive as well. Friendly service and cool motorcycle decor.

Great place! We’ll decorated with Harleys. There were probably 5 or 6 above the bar? Great bar to sit and have drinks and dinner. Our salmon was great. I had a classic martini and it was wonderful. My wife got the cranberry mule and loved it. Our server was excellent. It was my wife’s birthday and they brought us out a free cake with ice cream. Thanks again for a memorable evening.

LA Cafe is a fantastic local eatery near Whitestown that I highly recommend! The atmosphere is unique with its cool motorcycle decor, and the service is always friendly. This place has a flavor pallet for everyone from hamburgers to lasagna, desserts of a five star restaurant with a wine selection that would Accommodate any flavor profile. If it has ever been one of those days where I can’t decide until I get there L.A. Café is my go to choice for a local spot that will suffice any of my needs. Which means I usually pick while I’m there because the selection is so diverse that I can always find something I will enjoy for the evening and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommended.
