Pecan shrimp had huge, excellent shrimp and fresh vegetables with a sweet sauce. It was delicious. Bourbon chicken was fine. The egg drop soup was loaded with eggs and a fresh snap of green onions. Our friends got coconut shrimp that looked outstanding- wish we would have gotten some ourselves:) service was excellent (slow due to it being Christmas Day) and very accommodating and cheerful!

Husband and I went to Mr King Chinese in Crystal River and it did not disappoint. They have a drive through service which I think is darn convenient for people. Small, clean and organized place, booths and 2 big tables for large parties. Nice menu, lots of choices to choose from. Very kind and cheerful employees. I ordered Singapore curry noodles, big portion full of chicken, shrimp, pork and veggies, egg and thin rice noodles, delicious, I ordered mild heat, perfect! Husband had Chef Special garlic chicken with fried rice, nice spice to it, generous portion and he was very pleased. We enjoyed our dinners and prices were comparable to other places, they even gave us complimentary dessert, nice cake with cream frosting and fortune cookies of course. Nice seating area and calm atmosphere. Ordered the Bourbon chicken – good serving size and the chicken meat was yummy; juicy chicken and just the right amount of sauce. Also tried their egg drop soup and it was delicious. Good service too, plus great prices and the fortune cookie had the right message

We have eaten at Mr King’s several times and have always had delicious food. The Egg Drop soup is so good. My husband enjoyed the Happy Family meal tonight, which contained Beef, Pork, Chicken, Shrimp & Scallops with vegetables and Steamed Rice was full of flavor.
I had the Chicken Curry with Steamed Rice. One of the nicest Chinese curries I have had. Authentic and full of flavor
The staff are wonderful. Very friendly, helpful and efficient. Even remembering that I am unable to eat pork.

have been eating here for years, I would consider it the best Chinese spot in Crystal River. Cozy location, quiet, and staff is polite. Food is consistently delicious, gourmet compared to most take out places in town. They’re affordable and the portions are larger than anticipated. Very pleased.

I really like Mr King. I love that they have a drive-thru so I don’t even need to get out of my car. I also like the atmosphere inside and the people who work there. They are friendly and easygoing. The food that I’ve tried has been wonderful. I love Singapore Chow Mei Fun. Mr King makes a very nice version of this dish. Also today I tried Shrimp with Lobster sauce. That was also very good. But my favorite is their egg drop soup which has a few small onions in it that really give it flavor. I think that is one of their big sellers. It’s just a small place. I also like that it feels very comfortable to be there. When they get to know you, which is pretty quickly, you feel like you can walk in and just pick your table. They have always been very nice to me and I appreciate that. So for a nice atmosphere and a small restaurant with very nice people I’m giving them five stars. I think you will like it if you try it. I do recommend this restaurant. Everything is still great. Today I tried shrimp with broccoli in a white sauce and fried rice. It came with egg drop soup. This was one of the specials for lunch. Very good! It’s easy to pick something from their menu.

The experience over the last few years have been hit or miss. Although it was quite good on a previous order, my experience tonight was despicable! The quality was completely inferior even down to the rice. I will never dine at this restaurant again. Disappointed!

While traveling, it was my son’s pick for dinner and he wanted Chinese food. Coming from North Jersey was skeptical on getting Chinese food along the gulf coast of Florida but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Picked Mr. King based on the high reviews and stopped in for a dine in dinner experience. When we say down we were given a bowl of fried noodles and there was sweet and sour sauce or mustard that was available for dipping. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken which came with a soup and I choose the egg drop soup I was asked for a spice level for the chicken with and opted for spicey. My son order chicken lo mein and an egg roll. Meal portion was decent and the price was right based on the quality. The General Tso’s chicken which usually comes with broccoli came with of some type of sugar snap pea, slicesld carrot, mushrooms, and baby corn which offered a unique spinoff compared to what I’ve usually gotten. Opted for the steamed white rice over fried rice. Food was served hot and fresh and was a tasty meal that did not break the bank.
The dining room had ample seating and we were able to sit down at a table of our choosing. As stated, I was leary of going out for this type of cuisine but glad we went. It was a great meal.
At the end of our dinner, we also had little chocolate cake / moose type of dessert which was tasty.

Everything just tasted of oil, no flavor. The fried rice was nasty had nothing in it, the chicken and broccoli was like it was out of a can and warmed up. No flavor and mush. I soaked it with soy sauce trying to get some flavor. The wontons are hard and the only edible item was the crab rangoon. Never again for me.
