It felt like home, and I mean it! It was like getting food at your grandma’s house in the summer when everyone is hanging around and listening to their records while you sit and eat. It was clean, bright, and refreshing. We will be back time and time again!!
The food was fantastic as well. Delicious and very well made. Service was quick and they bring you your food! The shakes were phenomenal and had real ingredients in them. We got the Banana Foster and the Grasshopper. The sizes are HUGE. We had to settle for getting Mini’s because otherwise it would be too much to get individually! It is well worth the price to get a shake while you’re there.
The second time I ordered, I changed some of the sauces on the hamburger, and it was perfect. I usually don’t care for restaurant hamburgers, I rather make them myself.., But Iceburg does them right. With plenty of flavor and customization to cater to customers palette preferences.
If you’re looking for a good local fast food joint with a great price and friendly staff. I suggest stopping by Iceberg while you’re in town.
Overall, I came in expecting a better experience, but the food and even the water left me questioning the quality. If someone were to ask me if I’d recommend this place, I’d have to say no based on my experience today. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously because there’s definitely room for improvement.
Also, get the rodio burger! It’s delicious!

Let me stress that I enjoy cheap food. I also used to get this in Mesa when I was younger. I distinctly remember everyone hated when I chose this place for my birthday one year since they said it was “cheap”, and said we should get Nelson’s Frozen Custard. But I always fought for the size of these shakes. Today when we drove past, I immediately turned around and said we had to try it out. I told my wife to expect cheaper food, but I remembered the shakes being good.
Order: 2 Grilled Cheese, 1 Mozz Sticks, 1 Zucchini Strips, 1 Corndog, 1 Regular Chocolate Shake.
Zucchini Strips – Bland, we took several bites, tried with dip, and through them away. They literally have no additional flavor. Not even salt as far as we could tell. You could tell me it was particle board and I wouldn’t be surprised. 1 Star – really really rough.
Corndog – Initial bite tastes alright, then has a really strong after-taste. Honesty, I assume these are just frozen and reheated and this process makes them taste a bit off. I could just get this from Walmart for much cheaper. 2 Stars.
Mozz Sticks – Honestly, not bad at all. The actual sticks were great, makes sense why they are 6.50, I assume they outsource these. Not worth that price (you get 4) but they are of decent quality when compared to everything else. 4 Stars. *Note* The marinara was terrible. It was like watered down tomatoes sauce with pieces of garlic. Like very very water. I’m really not being dramatic, it’s that bad. I really would have rather the fake processed kind that has a taste and has the ability to be dipped into.
Grilled Cheese – My goodness, what an abomination. I love grilled cheese and I realize that fast food versions are normally very cheap and seen as bad, but I like them. This was hands down the worst grilled cheese I have ordered, and I would say probably the most pathetic offering from a business as a product. It is soft, barely warm, un-melted cheese, and the bread… the bread is literally yellow? It’s not like “oh they added butter” yellow. It’s like a spray-tan yellow, which I assume is some form of spray on butter or something? I’m telling you, it was so sad. I ate it, I forced myself. It was just eating soft, dry bread that clings to the top of your mouth. No flavor, no texture, and “cheese” that is still semi-solid. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a crime against the grilled cheese community to serve this as food. Please just take the time to add some texture, use real butter, and bump the price up to 4 bucks.
Shakes – This could be that I don’t like this style of shake, I concede that point. But it was really bad. It’s very very icy, it’s not creamy at all, and it uses that old school “fake” chocolate flavor. it’s gritty, almost like it was freezer burned and ground up. It’s like how my protein shakes taste when I mix them with icy. Also, please give an option for a lid… the marketing gimmick of an overflowing cup is very stupid in a drive through context. It’s so icy yet it melted very quickly and I had to eat the top half as fast as possible. This is not a Blizzard, it creates a mess. I honestly would probably rate it as the worst shake I have had in recent memory, and it melting in my car really annoyed me.
All in all, I went in expecting cheap food and boy did it deliver. Also we were the only people and it took around 20 minutes.
As of 2026, this has set the bar for the worst: chocolate milkshake, marinara sauce, zucchini strips, and certainly grilled cheese.
I leave you with this… you remember The Office episode where Michael orders pizza from Pizza by Alfredo? This is Pizza by Alfredo, not Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe.
