Very warm and comforting atmosphere. Food was very high quality and so unique to the Madison area. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Both photos below are from two different visits! In the first photo, we ordered the veggie platter, lamb sac kavurma, pirzola (lamb rack), and lamb shish kebab. All of the dishes in the first photo were amazing and freshly prepared. I would go back and back again just for that juicy veggie platter!!!

In the second photo, that is their Turkish breakfast! Would recommend if you like making different combinations with all the different pieces in the Turkish breakfast, a very fun and enjoyable experience indeed.

Service wise, we were checked on often during both visits and felt welcomed and appreciated!

The food was fine. Me and my friend ordered the “sharing plate” which is around 80 dollars. I would recommend for their food but definitely not their services. It has no integrity.

The plate covers everything from appetizers, entrees to desserts. We had our appetizers and entrees, yet we never had our desserts. After finishing everything on the table, the waitress came to us and asked if she could take away all the plates and get our bill ready. But she never mentioned anything about the dessert UNTIL LATER WE DOUBLE CHECKED THE MENU AND ASKED!
She then immediately replied there’s no dessert and they were sorry. Here’s the thing: If there were really no desserts you can just say it, but not hiding from and never mentioning about it. That was dishonest and disappointing.

What’s ironic was later on she talked about it with the chief, then coming back saying they could offer a 5 percent discount on our bill to make up for the dessert. That’s funny, what dessert for two people only sells at most 4 dollars? What a joke.

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in months going out to eat. I have no idea what any negative reviews could be referring to because the food I had was absolutely fabulous. I came with my sister because she fell in love with this place and comes quite often. Every single item of the “Turkish breakfast” we had was so delicious and I could not stop talking about it and enjoying it as we were eating. Our server was so sweet and nice also as were the other staff we encountered. I think this place is absolutely fabulous all around.

No question this is a missing piece to Madison’s culinary scene! The meat was grilled to perfection; the hummus and baba gonoush were freshly made; and best, Turkish Kitchen brought back a unique restaurant to a location that it was once known for… and that’s why this is a 5 star location in Madison!

Came here for lunch and really enjoyed it! We ordered the charcoal grilled lamb with rice and ayran — everything was full of flavor. The lamb was super tender and juicy, and the portion size was generous.

They also brought us a complimentary lentil soup to start, which was absolutely delicious. We finished our meal with a little dessert pastry that hit the spot!

The interior is cozy and decorated in a warm, Middle Eastern style — it definitely adds to the experience.
Great service, great food — we’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic place. I’ve gone twice now, once with friends and once for Valentine’s dinner, and both times it was 100% worth the trip. We got the Valentine’s special this time, and we had leftovers between the two of us (we usually eat a lot and left very full). The kebabs were amazing, all of the different spreads were delicious. Very affordable for the high quality of food. They also had a violinist there. It has a quiet atmosphere, you don’t have to listen to the next table over’s conversation, it was beautiful on Valentine’s day. It’s also in a slightly less trafficked part of town so it’s easy to find parking on the street or in a neighborhood. The wait staff was also great. I will keep going here!

When we entered the restaurant, we got a very nice vibe. A lady was playing violin, and the atmosphere was really beautiful. Our waitress was friendly and kind.

They served us lentil soup at the beginning—it was very tasty and delicious. We also ordered a bottle of wine, which was nice. For appetizers, we got a mixed plate. The hummus was not good at all, but the other items were okay.

For the main dish, my partner and I ordered lamb sac kavurma. Unfortunately, it was very bad—extremely salty. We could not finish it because the salt was too much, and it was almost impossible to eat.

Our friends ordered Adana kabobs and sucuk, and those were okay—not amazing, but fine.

Overall, the atmosphere and service were nice, but the food was not great for us.
