I love the feel of this place! I went in, even after reading the most recent (and ridiculous) 1 star review about poor customer service. I was immediately met at the door and asked how many, which is far preferable than waiting for someone to notice you. I made a take out order and was seated near the cash. The staff and customer base all appear to be Vietnamese or similar, which is usually a great indicator of food quality. I noticed that there were many take out orders waiting for delivery or pickups, another great sign. It was a miserable night out, which is when people decide to get delivery.
My order was taken quickly and efficiently and my food was brought perfectly packaged tightly and balanced to drive home.
I was astounded by the cheap price, 38 bucks for about 5 pounds of food! Exceptional! My bride and I enjoyed every bite and would’ve loved more soup base for the vermicelli, every bite was perfect.
People angling for free food drive me nuts, your 1 star review because someone was quick and loud with their language is silly, especially when you consider it is obvious that greeter is speaking something other than her native tongue. I challenge you to work in a busy restaurant and speak Vietnamese. Good luck.

1-Star Review — Very Disappointing Experience
I’ve been to Thuân Thành Restaurant in London, Ontario many times before, and my family has always enjoyed the food and service. However, this visit was completely different and very disappointing.
Before we even entered, I was holding the door for my family when I suddenly heard a loud shout, “How many people?” It really shocked me for a second, but I calmly answered, “Five.” The lady behind the counter came closer and said, “Sit wherever you want.” We sat down politely, understanding maybe our response wasn’t clear.
She came to ask if we wanted water or tea — I said tea — and she gave us menus. After that, she completely ignored us. Other customers came in after us, and she took their orders right away while we kept waiting. Nearly 20 minutes passed before we finally had to call her over ourselves.
When she finally came, she was very rude, didn’t make eye contact, and acted like we were bothering her by ordering. The service didn’t improve after that either. She kept ignoring us — even when we asked several times for napkins and water, she just walked by and never brought them. We had to keep reminding her ourselves at the end.
Every time we come from Chatham to London, we always choose this restaurant and even leave 5-star reviews (under the name Lucky). But this time, the behavior and attitude from this lady completely changed our impression.
It’s really sad to see such poor service from a place we used to love. I hope the management reads this and ensures better customer service in the future.

This place has really picked up and well deserved!! Well loved spot by my family and friends. Always busy and so happy to see that for them because their food is delicious, staff have been super friendly and food is served fairly quickly especially with how many customers they serve now. Great service – pretty busy on weekends but the prices can’t be beat here. Been eating here for years and will continue to, I hope they open a second location in the north end of london one day. Thank you for such comforting dishes and keeping it affordable, your staff also make the experience so enjoyable! I really applaud the staff as the servers really try to keep a positive attitude with customers even when they are juggling so many at a time, and the quality of the food has been so consistent all these years. My favourite is their chicken pad thai, pho, bun bo hue, chicken wings and their bbq rice dishes – so basically anything on the menu you really can’t go wrong if you’re new to viet food

A few months ago I got a pad Thai to go. As soon as I opened the container I saw a black hair. Gross. Tried to forget about the experience. Order a pad Thai to go again tonight. Took my order quickly and it was ready when I arrived. Didn’t want chicken. Just veggies but they wouldn’t let me just order it that way. Got the chicken pad Thai. And it was awful. Tried a couple of pieces of chicken but it had hard unchewable grizzle things… 2 strikes that’s enough for me.. 🙁 disappointed. It was a generous order. Was thinking I may get 2 meals out of it but nope, it went straight to the garbage not even enough to call it a dinner tonight.

This is a spot that my family in London frequented quite regularly. I was visiting them from out of town and was treating a large group to lunch so the negative experience we had was very disheartening. As someone who has been going to Vietnamese restaurants since I was a kid, I know what level of service to expect but this was one of the worst even with that baseline.
When we arrived there weren’t that many people and we made our orders. More people started coming in after. Usually pho comes out really quickly but instead ONE person at our table got their rice dish quite a bit later. Then that was it for like 15-20 min. We would then randomly get a dish every few minutes and no one could eat together. My small pho arrived 45min after we ordered lol.
Worst, the people who arrived and ordered after us got ALL of their food while our table was still missing orders. No apologies.
Eventually my elderly aunt was the only one without a dish when we were all almost done eating. They apparently FORGOT about her food. We wanted to cancel it because she was hungry and mad and wanted to just get food elsewhere but they never came back or gave us an opportunity to tell them.
They eventually brought the dish with barely an apology, just a quiet “sorry *giggle*” and never addressed the fact that we didn’t get our other dishes properly either. My sister ordered a drink and we told them to cancel it because we were all basically done eating and ready to go and it didn’t arrive. Then they brought it immediately.
I don’t think my family will be returning as regulars who have been coming here for years.

Excellent service from such a warm family run business! I came in by myself, but I did not feel by myself with the service and Christmas music they had playing at a nice, quiet volume. They had options of complimentary water or tea, so I chose tea. The tea was warm, sweet but not too sweet, and light. My partner came in afterward, and they gave him a cup for tea, too. He normally does not like green tea, but he liked this one! I am vegetarian and ordered from the many vegetarian options they have. They are mindful of food restrictions and allergies, as the server asked if I was okay with fish oil and peanuts (I was okay). The food came hot and at great value for the large portions! The tofu was some of the best deep fried tofu I’ve ever had. It melts in your mouth! The produce in the rolls was fresh, and there was mint in them, too! The pictures of Vietnam are a lovely sight during the winter, haha! The figures of Buddha are beautiful, and especially comforting if you are Buddhist or Hindu. There were tables of Vietnamese family/friends and construction workers when I came in, so you know it’s good! I highly recommend it!
