This was a small coffee chip in a waffle cone. For $6.50, it felt like a fair portion for the price compared other ice cream spots. The ice cream was really good and the service was very friendly!

I love CP’s cooler! Go all the time throughout the year and it’s always great, worth the price for the quality (especially compared to the price of store bought these days) and the amazing service every time. They run nice deals fairly often like the brownie parfaits during football season and always have interesting items in addition to their usual lineup. Tonight I went to stock up on some quarts since they’re closing for the season and was gifted a ton of soft serve for my very excited soft serve loving pup in the car. It was such a sweet gesture and it’s an awesome, unexpected perk that we will all be able to enjoy CP’s as a family while we wait for them to reopen next year!

Ice cream was good, but I asked for nuts and pretzels. It seemed like they dumped the bottom of the bag of nuts and pretzels because it was so salty it ruined my ice cream. Also had chocolate and caramel sauce and it was not much added to the ice cream. Was not the best experience.

Great place! Staff is always so pleasant and courteous! I always get the Dole Whip- have had many delicious flavors. I go often and miss it when they close .for the season. Love that they have an extended season. The drive- through is my go- to- always runs smoothly. My fav time is the Stanley cup day- great deal.

Love their flurries!! They always load up on the toppings you pick. They have a good selection of vegan flavors on rotation (sometimes almond milk, sometimes oat milk). The staff is always friendly and quick to help you, whether you go inside or through the drive-thru.

Being an individual that can’t consume milk based products. CP’s having vegan based ice cream, that’s actually creamy the exact way that it’s milk based counterpart is has been a godsend. Macchiato chip and cookies and cream are both excellent flavors and yes, I promise you they are just as creamy as if you got normal milk based ice cream. Not only that, very model last year and their interiors so beautiful and so clean and their drive-thru is also so great. They also have edible cookie dough which isn’t something to sneeze at. Soon, very soon I plan on trying one of their milkshakes, which I hope you can use the vegan ice cream for.

Great place to get homemade ice cream as well as soft serve. Currently limited to take out only you can order all the usual fare of ice cream desserts including milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and sundaes. Very reasonably priced. Cards preferred but cash also accepted. Look for the penguins on the ground to encourage social distancing. Your order is served fully packaged and bagged with all utensils and napkins.
Had the black raspberry chip ice cream. Didn’t even melt quickly a I enjoy a treat so good! Portion sizes are generous for the price you pay. A great neighborhood find!

August 2021: I’ve been stopping at various ice cream shops during my “quest to find the best” ice cream in the greater Cleveland area.
I stumbled upon CP’s Cooler and gave them a shot. Ordered the Vegan Coquito shake with the almond milk. They delivered it with a paper straw which meant that I better drink it in a hurry. Tasted it and it was pretty good. Thin coconut shavings inside a rum infused shake was potent enough to taste, but not enough to get drunk. Overall, I think that it is a very good shop that merits my business. I will be back.
Pros:
* “Homemade” ice cream
* Vegan options
* Drive through window; no need to get out the car. NOTE: this is a novel idea!
* They have a rum (real alcohol) flavor too for the adults.
* Covid cautious employees wearing masks.
* Clean shop with clean tables outside for the customers.
Cons:
* The prices are a tad more expensive than I would like–there is a $3 surcharge for their “homemade” ice cream.
* Paper straw requires quick consumption of shake or malt.
* I did not investigate the “vegan” option. I don’t know if they used the same equipment as the other milk based products. I am not a vegan, but I know some people who are and they are particular about such things. It may also matter for the lactose intolerant people too.

CP Cooler is a charming and delicious ice cream store. Absolutely delicious ice cream – I had the black raspberry chip. The staff are so kind and attentive and the store itself has a great vibe. This place is a gem!
