Generally pretty good! Definitely a respectable slice. Especially if you eat in with it fresh out the oven, it’s got just the right amount of crunch to it. Not huge slices, but certainly adequate and a reasonable price point. A nice space inside, not too fancy but in better-than-average shape for most pizza joints.
Great that they have standard thin crust, Sicilian, etc. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is that over the years (I’ve been around here 15 years now) it can be a bit inconsistent now and then. Often it’s a solid pie, but other times it’s a bit thick and doughy or just a bit off.
Still, totally worth a shout and it’s easily some of the best pizza in the immediate area.

Ordered two Stromboli over the phone for pickup, the person taking the order was not familiar with this item, now I understand, this location doesn’t make Stromboli any thing like the Brooklyn Pizzeria I go to in Goldsboro NC. This Cornelius NC location may be a different outfit all together. I will have to check with them on my next visit and give their pizza a try.

A mixed bag at this local Italian joint. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect – nothing fancy, but generally clean, though oddly several tables remained dirty from previous diners despite the restaurant being mostly empty (only about four tables occupied in the spacious dining area).
Our group ordered various dishes with decidedly mixed results. The eggplant Parmesan earned positive remarks from one of our party, while the plain cheese pizza was well-executed and surprisingly stood out as the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the specialty “Nona’s Pizza” was completely inedible with a thoroughly blackened, burnt bottom crust – a disappointing miss from a pizza-focused establishment.
The appetizers were a similar contrast – cheese sticks were clearly just frozen items tossed in the fryer, but the garlic knots showed some real promise with their tasty flavor profile.
Service was unremarkable, neither adding to nor detracting from the experience.
While this visit revealed some significant inconsistencies in food preparation, there were enough bright spots to warrant giving them another chance in the future. With some attention to quality control, especially on their specialty pizzas, this place could become a solid neighborhood option.
To those about to nosh, stick with the plain cheese pizza, and you shouldn’t have any issues!

My wife and I came here on Saturday for the first time and we freaking loved it! I am extremely picky about my pizzas and have a fav 2 places in the area since we always get disappointed trying new places.
The place has a bunch of extremely well trained staff of highschool kids. They al had huge smiles on their faces and created a great vibe by just laughing and doing their teenage things(kidding around with each other) but all of them where on point with their tasks, it reminded me of chick fil a as they have an amazing training program for young managers
Their manager, a lady from Puerto Rico and Miami was amazing as well and made us feel right at home and talked to us like if we knew each other for years.
The place had a great hometown vibe and the to go / take out station was non stop.
In all, we has a great experience and looking to go back. We now have 3 fav pizza spots in the area

We love Brooklyn South Pizzeria! It’s a great spot for a casual yet sit down dinner. The food is all delicious! Everything we’ve had has been so good and it all tastes fresh. The staff is always nice. You order at the front then your food is delivered to your table. Once you’re done eating, you leave your dishes at the table.
We get the white pizza with pepperoni, the Stromboli with ham is my favorite, and the cannolis are so good.

We were looking for a good LOCAL pizza place while we were on vacation at Lake Norman and came across Brooklyn South. We ordered carry out and it was ready fast and tasted out of this world. The stuffed pizza was delicious and their sauce tastes super authentic. We highly recommend trying this place out if you are looking for some good pie in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Craving a slice of pie, and this place met that perfectly. This was fresh and hot, with just the right amount of greasiness for the perfect flavor. The sauce had a nice taste, not too sweet or too acidic. The crust was nice and thin, like I like it, NY style. I just wish it were a little more chewy, that would have made it absolute perfection.
I only wanted a couple of slices of pepperoni to go, so I didn’t even look at the menu to see what else they offered or their complete complement of toppings, but I’ll definitely be back and I’ll check out the rest of the menu.

Super disappointing, came all the way from south Charlotte. Dined in and also got wings to go for the game. Went to heat the wings up and multiple feathers left over on the cooked wings. Had to throw them away because we have small children and a pregnant wife. Called to get a refund, and they said they are a small business and don’t do refunds. They can offer a credit. Why would we want to come back here? Makes you question how they are preparing and keeping things clean in the kitchen. Food should not go out to customers like that. Also, come on, they have never done a refund before????

Brooklyn South is an amazing spot to head to for lunch or dinner. Having been in the Lake Norman area for many years, they have always delivered great service and great food. And in addition to all that they can host parties or events in a reserved room at the restaurant which is fantastic. The catering they offer is high-quality as well.
The speciality here is New York/Brooklyn-style pizza and it shows in the large portions and the quality of their ingredients, particularly the dough and marinara; and the pizza always come out right out of the oven very hot, just as it should. They also offer some other items like desert cannoli and salads which are also tasty. I don’t think I have ever had a bad meal or a negative experience here, and I don’t believe I ever will.
