I called in a pickup order, and it was ready exactly when they said it would be.
I ordered mandarin chicken. The brown sauce was fantastic, so was the rice and egg roll… But equally as important, the chicken was delicious and, enough chicken alone to feed me this dinner and two lunches…. NO B.S!
I was pleasantly impressed.
I will definitely return.
Oh yeah… They were very friendly too.

I have a lot of opinions about this place after my one dining experience, but I will start with the good! The service was excellent, the servers were kind, and the restaurant itself has a nice feel. Unfortunately, those were the only good things about our experience…
We ordered 2 combo meals with a drink which came to $40 which we found to be a bit steep for lunchtime takeout. I can’t really say that what we ordered was Chinese food even in the slightest. Our meal tasted like something we would have ordered at a Southern cooking restaurant. The fried rice had 0 flavor and I didn’t want to finish eating it. We paid extra for white meat chicken which was fatty and soggy. I was truly disappointed with my meal.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant but the workers were very kind.

Great place for a “hole in the wall” Resteraunt. Huge variety of choices. They have local artists post beautiful work there. The service was spectacular. The food was great and highly competitive in prices. Easy to get to as well. Take out available. Locally operated by some awesome folk. Their house egg rolls are awesome (pictured). The almond pork was great.

YEE has all day pricing on their food so it’s a good price for takeout especially when you want a little bit of everything. The flavors are great. The downside is there’s like no meat on the sides of rice or noodles. Also, I wouldn’t get anything with crawfish ever again though. Weird taste and cooked until they’re minuscule.

So sad, this iconic restaurant is going downhill. It used to be wonderful. The food used to be so great, now It’s burnt rice. The chickens, burnt the food, just taste terrible I don’t know who’s cooking now, but it’s awful so sad..

Always fresh and tasty and the portion sizes are insane. Sesame chicken all day special dark meat double rice is enough to last me three meals

Yee Chinese has been a staple in Slidell since I was a child (40+ yrs). The quality and taste of the food has been consistently good every time I get it. I don’t live here anymore, but always look forward to stopping in when I’m in town.
We had the Veggie spring rolls, veggie fried rice, and vegetable chow mein !!
Hot, Fresh, and delicious

We went to this place 14 years ago and it was delicious. After eating at hole in the wall Chinese places across the USA we were still taking about the sesame chicken from Yee’s. We finally went back and it still did not disappoint. All day combos are perfect. Can’t wait to go again.

We will stick to Taste of China. This place is getting two stars only because the sesame chicken and spring rolls (most likey frozen) were good and the cashier was very courteous. The four other menu items we ordered, were the worst quality american chinese food that I have ever had. Not sure if the owners just threw a few people in the kitchen without a recipe, but changes are needed and management is to blame. The mongolian beef was the most randomest flavors thrown together. It tasted like a beef stew with too much sugar. The chicken and broccoli was also drowned in sauce, broccoli overcooked. Boneless chicken was dry. Shrimp fried rice had a burnt aftertaste. The sweet & sour sauce had the flavor of metallic canned pineapples. And paying $9 extra for sales tax with credit card fees to top it all off. I wish y’all the best of luck with improving your menu, but we will not be returning.
