Prompt, kind service and a true family-owned feel. The China Garden Special family meals is our favorite tea, soup, appetizers, and entrées served in courses. It’s comforting, well-paced, and absolutely worth it. One of our go-to spots in Missoula and always a reason to come back.

First time in and this place it will not be our last! They served hot tea right off the bat, nice touch. We ordered the Lunch combo #1 and lunch Mongolian beef with soft noodles. Lunch combo #1 was interesting, the chicken chow mein had a lot of celery and I’m not the biggest celery fan but it was very good! The sweet and sour chicken and pork fried rice were also good. Nice that pork fried rice is an option. The Mongolian beef was a good balance of meat to vegetables. It is nice to be able to have a lunch portion on the weekend. The portions, service, and atmosphere match the price point. The service was friendly and timely. The beer selection is awesome. We will be back for dinner and a beer soon. Thank you for the wonderful food and service!

Good food. I would be happier with smaller portions and a slightly lower price. 16 dollars for kung pao chicken seemed a bit expensive. Egg rolls were really good. They have me a spicy mustard dip with sesame seeds and that tasted great. Just passing through town but I would go again.

Brutal lunch special. Got the almond chow mein chicken. Basically a pile of celery with some chicken sprinkled in. No seasoning on the chicken, no sauce. Fried rice is just ok. This was my first time at China Garden. Will also be my last unfortunately. Might be the worst Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time.

We ordered pork lo mein, it was tasteless, same for the pork fried rice and both were nearly inedible. We also ordered 2 orders of sweet and sour pork and 1 order of sweet and sour chicken and received half a container of sauce, barely enough for one of these orders. The food was very overpriced (over $120) and we ended up throwing most of it away. This restaurant used to be really good but those days are gone. Definitely will not go back.

I wanted to like this place so bad but I was disappointed in the food. Had chicken broccoli, sesame chicken, fried rice and the appetizer plate. We left most of it. Wouldn’t go back and for the price, I’d say definitely not. However the place has a nice atmosphere inside and the service was good. The photos taken are after we ate. Again, just wasn’t good. And I was starving as I hadn’t eaten anything all day and ate dinner here at 7ish. I think that’s why I ate more than I would have had it been a normal day.

Wow! This was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. We got the family meal for two, and it was such a generous amount of food. The chow mien was so very good. The tea was great. Egg rolls were so light and crispy. Everything was good. Then you add that they were running super efficiently, on a Friday evening they had us seated within a few minutes, we didn’t wait for anything. Tea was at our table immediately, then the starters. Before we were both done with our soup we had our main courses. And we had boxes as soon as we were thinking we were ready to be done. It was the most efficient I have ever seen a restaurant run. Way to go. We will be back the next time we are in town!

This place used to be my favorite chinese place in missoula! But tonight is the last time i eat here! Just spent $125 for some bland flavorless slop. The fried rice was just white rice with a few pieces of pork in it. The lo mein which use to be my favorite thing to order tasted like ramen noodles with no flavor pack! So gross. I dont know if they lost their recipes or cooks or both but china buffet is now way better then china garden. Dont waste your time or money. Theres a really good place in lolo called bamboo gardens! Sooooo good. Would have went there but they were closed for the thanksgiving holiday. I would have gi china garden ZERO stars but it wouldnt let me

I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Mongolian beef with pork fried rice. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and the food was great. The kitchen staff was able to make my meal spicier on request. The prices for lunch were very reasonable. I would definitely come back!
