I just ordered takeout from China Express for the first time and I am happily surprised! I ordered takeout to pick up on their website where I tipped (you also sign a receipt where it gives you another opportunity to tip, so just decide beforehand how you want to). The website said it would take about 30 minutes for my order to be ready, and it was ready in about 40. I ordered the wonton soup, a side of fried ride, and the hunan beef. I do think that I was given the hunan chicken by mistake, but no complaints because it is quite good. The wonton soup is definitely the star of the show— highly recommend!

Watch out when they charge you, they add a tip without saying anything then when you add a tip, you’ve overtipped them. I ordered 3 orders $12.50 each and 2 sodas 1.25 each that should have been $40 plus tax, I was charged $47.79

I’m surprised at all the negative reviews so I thought I’d leave my own! We got delivery from here for the first time recently (via DoorDash) and the food was hot, well packaged, and delicious. It’s standard American Chinese, nothing revolutionary, but I’d certainly order from here again.
The kung pao chicken was well cooked, with crunchy chicken and tender vegetables instead of the homogenous mess you get sometimes. Had a nice kick to it too. The wonton soup broth was great and the fried pork dumplings tasted good, although the dough was a little chewy.

I stumbled upon this gem two years ago while I was wandering around Arlington, and it was a discovery that changed my dining experience forever. I treated myself to the Combination lo mein, General Tso Chicken, and Spring Rolls, and I can confidently say that I now make the drive from Fairfax just for their exceptional food and warm service. It’s worth every minute on the road!

Ordered 25 wings @ $2.20/wing & 1 fried rice through DoorDash. Asked for wings to be cooked crispy. Image my shock when I was charged the original price of approximately $60 for my order, plus an additional $84. DoorDash advised the additional $84 was because of my special instructions of asking that wings be cooked crispy. I spoke with someone at restaurant, was assured someone would call me back. They never did. So I’m finished with DoorDash & China Express. Guess I’ll settle through my bank.

I’m not sure why people are putting bad reviews for this place… I ordered last night (Christmas day) an hour before they closed. I was craving something Chinese and everyone was closed. I was a bit worried about the quality of food since it was late and they had bad reviews. Their food is amazing! It came super hot and fresh, they are very generous with their portions and the taste is perfect! Not too salty and not too bland. Definitely recommend ordering from here if your having random cravings 🙂 I ordered last their hunan shrimp with vegetables and fried rice, chicken pan friend dumplings and chicken lo mein. Really tasty!

Skip this place. I order steam dumplings which were disgusting, tasted doughy and vegetable smelled weird I ended up throwing all of out. The orange chicken was okay super sweet thought and it had pieces or raw orange in it? Plus the white rice that comes with it tasted pretty old and mushy and lastly the Lo mein was over cooked and tasteless. There’s so many places that are better than this

I ordered food tonight around 6 PM and was told it would be delivered around 6:50 PM. At 7:10 PM, I called to inquire on the status and the person lied and said I had the wrong number, then claimed he would check on the status and call me back. He did not so at 7:20 I called again and he refused to look into it and rudely hung up on me. I waited a bit longer and around 8 PM I called again, I could hear them picking up the receiver but then there was silence. I called a few more times over the following minutes and got the same thing. I tried from several different phones so it is clearly an issue on their end, not mine. It is now 9 PM and the food is two hours late and still not arrived.
Do not order from this place. They will scam you, take your money that paid by credit card in advance, and not deliver your food. I will be contacting my credit card company when the charge posts to dispute the charge unless they somehow manage to deliver it. In the meantime, I finally gave up and ordered from someplace else, which is what I should have done to begin with. Absolutely horrible!
