I have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years now, never once have I had a bad experience. The people here are always so nice and attentive. The food I will always recommend and the prices are so reasonable! Favorites are the Carnitas, Tacos, Birra tacos, arroz con pollo , and the carne asada. The chips are always warm and the salsa is always good. 10/10

Salsa and chips free and really good..prices were very reasonable..waitress was very very nice and all the service was great..they have locations all over the city.. one of the better more reasonably priced Mexican restaurants that I have been to here in Indianapolis.

El Meson, Rockville Rd location is always a WIN for us. I’ve really enjoyed the updates to their food presentation as well. Service is always spot on and never a bad thing when they make the effort to remember who you are and even your drink order!

The restaurant was clean however the service was not up to par. It was not busy but the servers were not attentive. I order the choripollo and the enchiladas supreme. Both dishes were extremely too salty. The rice and beans that came out were cold. The salsa was ok the guac was mid as well nothing to rave about. I wouldn’t return.

The food is delicious, service is hardworking and the ambiance is chill and similar to a restaurant you would find in Mexico.
Went here for mother’s day with the family and ordered the shrimp tacos well done. It was so good and came with a delicious rice as well. I also had the house tortilla chips and salsa which were so good as well. The salsa was like canned tomatos with some fresh spices. The tortilla chips were also warm. So good

I typically go on Sundays after church! So my experience is pretty consistent.
Here’s my opinion!
Almost 2 years ago we went to El Meson and it was beyond underwhelming. However, idk when or what changed: management, the cooks, etc…. But I’d say since May 2025, when we met up with some family and friends for lunch begrudgingly, it has been FIRE!!
We are regulars now! And I can say I love this place. The flautus with potato filling is AMAZING. The tacos pastor NEVER disappoint. I try to order something different every once in a while & I never have buyers remorse!
