A coworker brought these in for her last day. Super cute brand! These are donuts that can be made fresh to order and customizable?! Heck yeah. So many different options + flavors. (The only thing that threw me off was the texture, I don’t know why?) Overall, I liked it!

Also note: My friend got a coffee and said it was really good.

This is NOT a grab and go place! They are made to order! Fry, decorate, and take. It will take a few minutes and if they are busy it will take a few more than that. You can order off their website and they may be finished when you arrive. I am not knocking this, just noting you will need a bit of time.

THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!

The warm, fresh donut melts like butter in your mouth. I have never had a fresh one before, and it is a game changer!

Donuts are hot and fresh- you can watch them being fried like a mini donut stand at the fair. They hand top each one to order so show up with your patience. The staff was kind and having fun. Will be back!!!

Didn’t realize they were made to order but I ordered 2 dozen and the nice folks there had them done in under 20 minutes. Super fresh and delicious even with the leftovers that didn’t get eaten right away. Can’t wait to go back. Great job guys!

Duck Donuts is the cutest donut & coffee shop in Polk City. So many options for donuts we had trouble deciding. We also got an iced coffee and an almond milk latte. The atmosphere is so fun it made me smile as soon as I walked in not to mention the amazing smell of fresh donuts!

Duck Donuts is a must-try. The donuts are made fresh to order, so they’re always served warm and soft. Being able to choose your own toppings and watch them get made is a great experience. The maple bacon is incredible.

Easy to find. Friendly staff. Great way to experience a donut as you watch them make it in front of you, then put the topings you chose. This location is smaller than the one in Duck, NC, but still had the same great atmosphere. Loved the t-shirts, though i didn’t buy one.

You must check the place out!

TL;DR Coming from experienced folk of Duck Donuts, this place is a must try if you love cake donuts, fresh served, and the ability to order from their menu or custom design a donut. Prices are reasonable in today’s market, staff is incredible, donuts delicious!

My husband and I waddled our way into a Duck Donuts for the first time when we lived on the East coast. We’ve loved it since the first bite and have missed it greatly since moving back to Iowa. We went for a drive at random about a week ago and my husband spotted this Duck Donuts, I made a u-turn so we could check it out, and low and behold, they were preparing to open in the near future. We were excited and trusted we would hear word somehow when they did, in fact, open for business officially. Happy news came via Facebook through an unexpected suggested ad on what happened to be the night of their grand opening. Then and there we planned to go the following morning, Sunday. We arrived to an absolutely packed shop around 12:20pm and walked out with a dozen donuts not even 30 minutes later! The crew was working steady and focused, maintained friendliness with customers, ensured every order was viewed by the buyers eyes and deemed acceptable before closing up the box(es) and handing it(them) over. We even witnessed one crew member offer a fresh donut to some patient kiddos as a thank you for their positive behavior, she went so far as to break it up for them (with gloves on) to help it cool down faster. As far as our order, we ordered a dozen. 4 maple bacon, 3 coconut bliss, 1 glaze with struesel, 1 sunrise (Lemon w/ raspberry drizzle), 1 strawberry shortcake, and 2 design-your-own blueberry with oreo crumbles and blueberry drizzle. Just look at that picture! Even packed to the brim, they maintained detail, got the order entirely right, and delivered fresh, delightful donuts! We are so stoked Duck Donuts made it to Iowa and even more gleeful seeing how the operations are going so well! We will be back and absolutely recommend the maple bacon!!! * Side note: if you don’t like cake donuts, this is not the place for you.*

This is a new concept donut shop in Polk City. They have a cake donut machine similar to the ones you see making mini donuts. All the donuts start as a cake donut and then are decorated by an army of workers. The quality of the donuts you receive are dependent upon the person who decorates them. As you can see in my picture the toppings are very sparce. They did taste good, I just wish that they were more consistent in how they decorate the donuts.

Clean storefront. Easy to order, right when you walk in there’s a kiosk to enter your order. Amazing donuts. Takes a bit longer for service but the donuts are made fresh!! So yummy – from the donut itself to the frosting! So many delicious flavors. My favorite, the blueberry crumble A must stop in Polk City!
