I came here on a friend’s recommendation and ended up loving it.
The sushi was made with fresh ingredients, and the rice portion was just right.
The lunch menu was generous and offered a wide variety, making it a very satisfying meal.
The staff were incredibly friendly, which made the entire dining experience even better.
I would definitely recommend this place!

Great place for sushi! I loved the black rice, it gives a slightly different flavor and texture than regular sushi rice. Definitely makes them stand out a bit!
The popcorn Shrimp Roll was incredible!
The mix Tempura was good too…the batter was light and crispy!
I will return next time I’m in Chandler!

Came here on a date. The server kept our glasses full of water and club soda. We got several roles which were absolutely fantastic. This has been probably our 6th time coming to this place and the service is always consistent. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants. We have celebrated many holidays and birthdaysthere as well as hitting up their amazing happy hour and just enjoying Kodo for a fun date night. The sushi is always so very fresh, and service is incredibly fast. We are never waiting long. Their unique sushi rolls are also a hit. We are regular customers and we recommend. 🙂

The sushi was filling and the sake was hot like I like it! The staff was attentive and kind from entering until exit. The restaurant is just as pictured, so lots of seating, but if you have a large party call ahead to see if they can seat you.
Along with a very tasty dinner menu, they also had specials on the wall behind the sushi bar .
The purple rice was a surprise but very tasty! More importantly the fish was yummy.

We LOVE Kodo and eat here at least once a month. The food is always spot on the the service is quick and with intent.
As a heads up, their menu on their website is t working properly. To get to their actual menu, pull up their address in Google maps, then click “order online”. If you do this through a Chrome search. The only option you have to place an order (even if picking up) is through DoorDash, and as usual with DoorDash, their presented menu isnt all inclusive with items and function missing.
I i formed the owners of Kodo about this, but in the meantime, I wanted to make sure others weren’t missing out on their favorite menu items (my wife thought she was) like Spicy Ramen

Emily took great care of us! The food was amazing. Def coming back!
Edit: I came here the other night, and it was so hard to communicate with Mindy. She’d stop at the table to a second, then run off before we could ask for anything. She took a long time separating our 2 parties when she took our order then still gave us a check all on one. I was a bit embarrassed bringing friends here after such a good first experience.
3rd experience: had Mindy again. She wouldn’t even take the dirty plates i tried to hand her. She left the table with every single dirty dish on it. Another visit paying a 20% gratuity for awful service. Our soups game hot and we had to chase our server down constantly.

Another great stop at Kodo for lunch today. We came right at opening and were seated right away. We ordered three different rolls as well as edamame, gyoza and miso soup. Everything came out quickly and looked amazing. The flavor of everything was great as well. The only thing keeping it from a perfect review is the service after we received our food was horrible. No refills or the chance to ask for anything else because we didn’t see our server again until we received the check. The sushi is always on point however and worth a little drive. The restaurant is bright, clean and great for large groups or alone.

Delicious and creative sushi rolls. Jazz music in the background and the waiter staff so attentive The sushi is made with purple rice which is also called “forbidden” rice. Forbidden because in ancient China purple rice was reserved for the emperor only. Purple rice has a higher nutritional value than white rice. The textures and flavors were wonderful. We went on a date and the ambiance was relaxing and inviting. We loved the experience and the food was beyond amazing.
