Our waitress Kay was so sweet. The steak needed no steak sauce and the marinated chicken was awesome and had just the right amount of char. The baked and sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection and the desert selection will please anyone..I had the pecan pie and the chocolate chess pie, both were delicious! We will definitely visit again!!

I phoned in a take-out order, requesting that my steak be cooked on both sides — well done. Moreover, I specifically said no pink or red inside the meat cut. Now I know this place can cook a very good steak but today my meat wasn’t cooked correctly since there was pure red inside. Yuck! I called and the hostess said I would get a new steak. The replacement steak was exactly as I ordered and expected. The steak was great. I can’t eat uncooked meat so I appreciate that the replacement of the steak was handled with courtesy.

My beau introduced me to this place 6 years ago. This is one of our regular restaurants for dining out/date night. He always orders a steak. I have tried various items on the menu-prime rib, KC Special, calabash seafood and beef tips. There is a huge selection to choose from-you can even get a grilled cheese or chicken tenders for the picky kiddos. They have the BEST greek salad in Alamance County! I always order one with dinner. Love the atmosphere and seeing couples of all ages dine here.

Well I drove by this place for years and a few months ago, I decided to stop and give it a try. I love this place! I have probably been at least a dozen times now. I haven’t had a bad meal. I have had most of the steaks on the menu as well as the calabash seafood. The onion rings are the best I have had anywhere. They are hand breaded in the calabash breading.
My go to meal is the K. C. Steak, Greek salad, and onion rings.

Overall great place with a true history. Good prices for the industry.
There are a couple opportunities for improvement with sanitation, seasoning of the beef, cook time of sides like fries and onion rings. But, overall a good experience for a family of 5’s first visit.

Did a search for a Charcoal restaurant and found this hidden gem! Originally planned on a burger but decided on a small ribeye. Then saw an Open faced Roast Beef so I ordered both just to try it! Wife had a seafood platter, and we split the burger to try it! All this food for us to sample and ALL were very good both then and the next day!

An impressive steak served on a sizzling hot platter as it is calibrating to your desired temperature. For a minute, I was fooled thinking someone behind me had ordered fajitas? Scarlet my server, politely landed my delicious and huge T-bone steak perfectly in front of me. Her service was above and beyond! There is nothing silent about the hush puppies, uniquely made delicious nice and hot crispy hand made with sweet corn meal. This dive definitely goes back sixty years as the bright old school neon sign on it’s roof top, illuminates the invitation to come right in! The Golden hour settles nicely in your dusk’s hunger for sure.
