SMOKED is an excellent little American BBQ restaurant. I tried the beef brisket on a bun w/small side of spicy coleslaw & added a side of the Mac & Cheese + potato salad (which was the best potato salad I’ve ever had) – No Joke. Everything was extremely homemade, tender, & very flavorful tasting and certainly did not have that big corporate BBQ restaurant taste and vibe. The place has a great aesthetic and energy to this small BBQ eatery. After you get your tray of food you you can stop at a counter near by to add pickles, pickles onions, & pickled jalepenos for your sandwich or other dishes. I did notice they had homemade looking banana & pumpkin cream pies available (personal size). At the table there is an assortment of BBQ sauces for your food. All in all the food was excellent and I would definitely go back when I visit Great Falls. Everything you could wish a place like this to be. SMOKED checked all the boxes for me as a small BBQ restaurant.

Outstanding, there’s not really much more to say! I was late to get to the airport and I wanted something good to eat while I was there so I picked up a brisket sandwich, some mac & cheese, and an extra potato salad and they were all delicious. The people working there were also very nice and helpful. Great experience and if I’m ever traveling through here again I will definitely stop by.

Stopped here while in town for work, and I’m glad I did. Got the brisket plate with the spicy pasta salad and pork belly Mac. It was all fantastic. 9.5/10 overall. Staff was very polite as well, even dealing with a large crowd. Would recommend.

Recently moved back to Montana from living in the south and midwest for some years. I have been looking for some good local bbq so we decided to try this place.
The ribs were pretty good, I wasn’t too crazy about the seasoning but the meat itself tasted good. Better than what I had when I lived in St. Louis. The brisket sandwich was a little dry but overall still edible.
However, the sides left something to be desired. The mac and cheese was super bland. If i had done a blind taste test I wouldn’t have been able to really tell what it was; tasted like slightly cheesy mush.
The potato salad was ok. Tasted like store bought rather than house made.
Needs more flavor all in all.

Super friendly service. Excellent BBQ. Tried the pulled pork which was great. Brisket was OK, slaw and Mac n cheese were both really good.

Best place ever!! We’ve been twice and food has been extremely good and very fulfilling. I am a huge fan of the pork belly Mac and cheese. My second favorite is the Pig-Mac. I don’t think I’ll ever order anything other than those. I will definitely make this a stop any time I’m in Great Falls.

The 3 meat 3 sides combo was a great deal. Brisket, pulled pork and turkey were amazing. The sides were great. We so liked the KC sauce we bought some to take home.

We shared the 3 meat and 3 sides Combo. Delicious! The beef brisket was so tender! We also got the cheese sausage/brat and smoked turkey. The sides were corn bread, pork belly mac n cheese and baked beans. All were excellent! Employees were helpful and energetic. Really nice to see people enjoying their job! Next time we are in Great Falls, we will definitely be back!

High craft barbecue worthy of competing in the American Royal World Barbecue Series. This family owned barbecue joint was crafted out of passion for the art and science of low, slow roasted meats and it shows. For whatever it may be worth, I’m an Arkansas native who grew up with some of the best Texas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Memphis style barbecue. Everything is great, and I’d like to give a special commendation for the exceptional quality of the brisket. Additionally, while I tasted the sauces and they’re wonderful, as someone on a keto diet, the meat is rubbed to perfection and does not require sauce for a phenomenal and satisfying experience. Well done!
The experience is true to barbecue, served deli style, with wonderfully helpful and kind staff. The dining area is casual and egalitarian, much like the best places I know in the south. Get there early – this is relatively small batch barbecue. Once it’s sold out, they’re closed for the day.

Wow! Just Wow! I love checking out barbecue places, and I have always ordered brisket to try, unsauced, as a “grade”. This Place is something else amazing brisket, great side, super friendly customer service, and lightning fast to the tray. I would go there in a heartbeat, any day of the week!
