I visited a cozy little café in a charming small town, set in a vintage wooden house with lots of character. The atmosphere was warm, calm, and very relaxing. There are about six small tables in the main hall, plus another small lounge area with around four tables. On warm days, there’s also a lovely outdoor patio where you can enjoy your meal.

The coffee and pastries were beautifully made and tasted great. Prices were very reasonable — we ordered two drinks and two food items, and the total was $32 CAD including tax.

The old wooden building, soft lighting, and thoughtful decorations made the space feel welcoming and comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and sincere. He is originally from Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, China, which made the experience feel even more special and personal.

This was part of our little city escape up north and we stopped here as a resting spot. I wasn’t expecting much beyond a coffee break, but it turned out they focus more on alternative-style drinks. I went with the Medicinal Hot Chocolate and it caught me completely off guard in a good way. Cinnamon, cardamom, maple syrup, and Himalayan salt are not the usual suspects in a hot chocolate, but the mix worked surprisingly well. It was soothing, comforting, and felt like something made with intention. That said, anyone not familiar with the raw cocoa flavour might not immediately think of it as a traditional hot chocolate.
The cafe itself is warm, scenic, and very welcoming. I really liked the decor, which feels like stepping into an old Canadian home with a lot of charm. It is the kind of place you could sit for a while without feeling rushed. I would definitely like to come back before winter sets in again.

A very nice spot that seems to be the place for locals to go to.

Went here after seeing it all over social media. Coffee was decent. Had a cortado and very smooth. Just wish it was a little stronger flavour. Didn’t leave too lasting an aftertaste which is good.

Tried the Oreo brownie and satisfied my sweet tooth. Nice and chocolatey and then the crunch from the Oreo cookie crumbs

While service was average (could have just been the day since it seemed fairly busy) and not too much of a convo happening, the atmosphere was on point. Super cozy and the view from. The back is definitely I wanna take a look at.

Parking is tough as there is only street parking and lots of signs stating when you can park.

Good job overall

Quaint coffee shop with a good selection of treats and lunch items. Had the matcha and chicken/avocado wrap while I did some work, and they were both good.
Definitely a neighbourhood gem – cozy and welcoming!

The Roost Cafe in King City is such a hidden gem! It’s set in what feels like a cozy, traditional home that’s been beautifully transformed into a café — the decor is so charming and gives off a really warm, homey vibe.

They have a nice selection of drinks, and I tried the veggie wrap, which was super tasty. My partner had the avocado sandwich and really enjoyed it too. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

If you’re in or around King City, I definitely recommend stopping by — it’s the perfect cozy spot to relax and grab a bite!

Great staff, vibe, bevies, and grub! Ample lawns to sprawl with kids and pets. Only drawback atm is noisy construction right next to the back of property. Hopefully that will end in a few months. The seating inside is lovely and back deck too. There is a reason why this place is always busy!

We had a delightful brunch at The Roost Cafe in King City, Ontario. The granola parfait was a highlight—packed with flavorful, crunchy granola, creamy yogurt, and fresh, juicy berries. The carrot cake was equally impressive, with moist and fresh spongecake topped with smooth and light buttercream. Both paired perfectly with iced coffee and a latte. The cafe’s dining room is colorful and has a charming countryside vibe. We especially loved sitting outside on the deck or in the backyard, surrounded by nature. It is an excellent spot for a relaxing brunch!

Very cute cafe to get a well made tea and coffee while doing some work. The atmosphere is nice and quiet with space on the balcony and backyard to sit, especially when its nice out. The food is also good with the breakfast and pastry options. This is a great spot to enjoy if youre looking for a relaxing café to spend some time in. Worth a visit!

One of my fave cafes in king city! It’s a must stop on my rides in the area and I’ll even drive there! The breakfast sandwich with bagel is delicious. She makes carrot cake almost everyday and when I get there at 8, she’s just icing it and I’ll definitely take a piece! A really great cyclist friendly spot which has a great green lawn in the back for kids and dogs!
