Ok but can we TALK about the desserts!? Because wow. I would go here simply just for the dessert menu! We tried 2 out of the 4 options. They were not only delicious but so beautiful crafted. Well done.

Marsh Island Kitchen brings something fresh and exciting to our community, and it’s quickly becoming a local favorite. This is not a place to rush in and out of — it’s a place to stay, sip, breathe, and enjoy. I can’t wait for many more evenings spent here!

3 stars because the food was not bad but the portions were extremely small. The chicken parm actually looked like it was made using a chicken tender and was half the size of my fork. I ordered the steak sandwich specifically because it came on foccocia but when I got it, it was on a tiny sub roll. If someone is paying for a food you advertise one way, but you are planning on giving them something else, you need to notify then and confirm the changes are OK. Can’t really comment on service and atmosphere as we ordered take out but we won’t order again.

We had an excellent experience with the new Marsh Island Kitchen! We had a large party with way too many kids, and the wait staff was extremely accommodating and patient. The service was phenomenal. Food came out fast. Between the whole group, we tried about everything on the menu. We loved the wings, mac and cheese bites, and chicken sandos. The beer was top notch. Oktoberfest was perfect. We’ll be back.

First time. Poutine was a great starter to share. I had the Frontier Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed the fish and chips. My son was not impressed with the hamburger. The service was friendly and professional. We don’t drink so can’t offer any information about the bar.

Marsh Island Kitchen has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Hampden. I’m here almost every week, and the service is always great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They always go above and beyond. The food is consistently delicious, and the beer and especially the specialty drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and it’s just an easy place to enjoy a meal. I’m excited to see what the summer menu brings. Such a great addition to Hampden! Great job guys. Keep up the good work!

Sorry, my husband and I wanted to try this new place out A big mistake. We usually go to long Horn before going to Hollywood Slots, but we heard great things disappointing/ walked in and it was very cold inside, sat at a table that felt uncomfortable because the seats are hard. Waitress was kind but didn’t know about vinaigrettes, usually not creamy but she really felt like they were awesome, not at all. $23 dollars for a small red wine very expensive. COD sandwich was great/ my crispy chicken was crispy but no flavor. The total bill was almost a $100
Now, Long Horn , I can get baked bread with real good butter with a double wine , Crispy chicken with flavor and very large sandwich/ fresh salad with vinaigrette that is so good and not creamy, my husband gets his baked potato/ steak..,,, no dessert, costs only under $50!! Very different.
We will not recommend or go back! Sorry!

We stopped in for lunch on our way back home to Windham. We were quickly seated as we arrived just as they opened. After we were sat the restaurant started to fill up quick, our timing was perfect. We ordered the poutine for an app and it was delicious! My stepson said it was the best he’s ever had. All of our meals came out quickly and you could tell everything was made from scratch. We ordered: pulled pork sandwich, burger, fried chicken sandwich and the meatball app. Everyone at the table loved their meal! We even took some 6 packs of Marsh Island beer home with us. We can’t wait to come back and try their specials!

I was really excited about this place. Hampden has long needed a great restaurant. We have been wanting to eat here ever since it opened, but we gave it time because they are very busy every time we drive by. We had a small wait before we were seated, but the texting system let us relax in our car and chat. Very convenient. After our text that the table was ready, we got sat out on the porch area, it seems like this will be prime time seating in the summer, with the garage doors being able to be opened up for the fresh air. We were asked if we wanted to order drinks. None of us drink alcohol but they did have some non alcoholic drinks. I asked if they had unsweetened iced tea, and the waitress said no, but they had raspberry iced tea. I mentioned that i cant really have sugar, she said “ok” i guess i was hoping she would have had some sugar free suggestion since i didnt see any soda menu or anything sugar free in the “drinks menu”. We ordered the meatball appetizer, and it was delicious, with great flavor and warm. I wish the bread that was served with it had been toasted or something. It was a little dry. For our mains, we ordered the fish n chips, south west rice bowl, and the chicken Ala king. My fish in chips was good, maybe a little small of a portion, and the fries were a little soggy. Our friend said her rice bowl was okay, but she didn’t eat very much of it. The chicken Ala king looked awful. One small piece of chicken that was burnt on the bottom, she struggled to cut it with a knife. The vegetables were mushy and dark colored. She said the only thing edible was the overcooked wild rice. For the prices you would think there would be better quality control. Maybe Marsh Island is more of a place to drink than eat. We really wanted to love this place, but they just missed mark.
