What a wonderful dinner. Our server was so friendly. The atmosphere was so refreshing like old world charm. The complimentary breadsticks were fresh and warm. We ordered their artichoke dip as an appetizer. It was warm and the bread seasoned well. Our entrees were mushroom filled ravioli and spaghetti/meatballs. Both were excellent. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

Very historic Southern Illinois Italian restaurant. Constantly a fine dining establishment over many years. Our dinners were very good. The bread sticks were not warmed as the warmer was not activated until later in the evening. My brother enjoys eating there weekly. We seldom miss an opportunity for their fine food when in the area.

Wow! Great atmosphere. Bread had an awesome texture. Spaghetti sauce was bold and basil-forward. Cannelloni Alfredo had the BEST garlic creamy sauce. Waitress was kind and attentive, crowd was quiet and polite. I’ll be back!

I had the veal Marsala w/a red sauce pasta side & a bruschetta. The service was great food was good as well. All except I found I yuge pice of hard plastic or metal in the Marsala sauce. I pointed it out to the waitress, & wasn’t even offered a reduction in price. I was highly disappointed with that, but, I’ll give it one last chance next week. The waitress even put my food in a togo box for me so I could save room for Spumoni ice cream.

A fantastic place to eat. The best Italian Beef sandwich I’ve ever had, without a doubt. Great service, friendly severs, delicious food – what more could you ask for in one place? The charm: built in 1933, still has that old style. Beautifully built: classic, vintage, Italian-American restaurant.
If you’re within 30 minutes, I’d recommend going out of the way to eat here.

The restaurant is adorable. In a quaint building with a tin tile ceiling and an amazing fireplace, the atmosphere is fantastic. The service was great. The food was okay, but definitely not the best we’ve had. The pizza was probably the worst with a dry crust. The manicotti was good, but we didn’t care a lot for the sauce. The cannelloni was probably the best item ordered in our party and was well received. The salad was sub-par and the breadsticks were store bought and dry.

We love going to Alongi’s. The service and food are always amazing. I decided to try something new today and got the Mushroom Ravioli with creamy garlic sauce. I have a new favorite dish. Their creamy garlic sauce is on point. Creamy perfection. Enjoy my complimentary birthday Spumoni.

Traveling through and when I saw that they have been serving pizza since 1933, I had to stop. Started with Toasted Ravioli … perfectly crisp and tasty! I ordered a classic sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, and onion. The crust was a little thicker than the cracker crust I like best, but it had abundant toppings and great flavor.

I’m not sure what happened to the food quality here at Alongi’s in DuQuoin, IL Perhaps my party of three, we all ordered the wrong thing? No, that wasn’t it…
It was just poor quality prep and lackluster food quality. The breadsticks were worse than OG, tough and chewy. I overheard they have a new bread supplier. Maybe they they should find a better choice or just order from Fazoli’s. We spent $50+ for 3 meals.
I hope their pizza is still good…
