Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen in Angleton is absolutely top tier.
From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and has that authentic Italian charm that makes you want to sit down, relax, and stay awhile. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about your experience.
The food? Incredible. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauces are rich and authentic, and the portions are generous. You can tell they put real love into every dish. Whether it’s their classic Italian favorites, fresh seafood, or perfectly cooked steak, everything comes out hot and beautifully presented.
What really sets Giovanni’s apart is consistency and quality. They don’t cut corners. It feels like a true family-run restaurant where pride and passion are in every detail.
If you’re in Angleton and want real Italian food made the right way, Giovanni’s is the best restaurant in the area. Five stars every time.

For the love of god do not get the Pollo Pazzo – pecan “crusted” baked chicken breast. It tasted like the chicken was boiled and the “crusted” pecans on top ere actually just a handful of nuts thrown on top

I’ve been coming to Giovanni’s for many years and it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Brazoria county. The food is excellent and every server I’ve had has been great. I love the tomato Basil soup and the lasagna. This review is specifically based on my experience last weekend with some notes from previous experiences. This is a small restaurant so it is quite a bit crowded. My partner loves the filet mignon and it was phenomenal as usual. I decided to try something new and got the Alaskan salmon with lump crabmeat and shrimp Alfredo; the meal was delicious but I do have to say the salmon is smothered in sauce for those that may not like that. (Based on past experiences) The pizzas here are amazing! From this visit and past visits, on a negative note, the alcoholic beverages are portioned very lightly and there is some stinginess it seems. A group of my friends and I had ordered Italian margaritas & were not satisfied with them, my friend complained but I found the drink to be tolerable. This past visit I was very disappointed in the portioning of my glass of Pinot Grigio, there was barely any in the glass!!! This opinion is based upon being a worker in the restaurant industry that has served drinks & that not only wants my customers to enjoy their food, but also their drinks. Besides that, this restaurant is excellent and I will always recommend it to anyone that wants somewhere good to eat.
Update: Had a very disappointing experience with lack of portions and bland gross side dishes. This place either had a bad day or has gone really downhill.

First time here and we ordered takeout for convenience-sake, but man we cannot wait to come back!!!! I got the filet mignon and portobello on Alfredo and it was hands down the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. The flavors were amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. When I picked up the to go order, all the hosts and servers were extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit!

Food was good. Seasoning was needed to bring out more of the food’s flavor.(salt). Server was great. Sat outside. Table cloth needed to be replaced. Chairs as well. 2 adult meals, 1 child’s meal and a bottle of wine. $90. Can’t come here every week. Maybe a couple times a year.

Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen has been one of my very favorite restaurants in the Houston-Galveston area for many years. This restaurant serves some of the best Italian food I have ever enjoyed – whether in the US or Italy! They have so many great appetizer, soup, and entree selections to choose from, but invariably I gravitate to ordering their Snapper Arrabbiata (Angry Snapper). Great food and fast, friendly service. You will have a memorable dining experience here. I advise calling ahead and getting a reservation whenever possible, especially on weekends.

A great Italian experience. The Greek pizza with a peculiar flavor where the taste of black olives stood out next to the feta cheese but giving the best demonstration the Italian pizza, as if it were made by the gods. Its flavor with cherry tomatoes take you to the maximum expression of the rich Italian flavor. A great companion was mussels in lemon sauce; an incredible flavor that you did not want to come out of your mouth, so also the tomato soups but with a spicy flavor. The only thing I do not recommend is tiramisu. The classic Italian dessert that I think must be an explosive one was not, it was not fresh. It was frozen, which instantly killed all its essence. And speaking of the service, it was a spectacular one. Ask for Stephanie Michelle. What can they improve on? number 1, in the dessert and number two, to know the wines so that they can give details of them. Anyway, yes, I would return. A quiet and familiar place. I loved
