Thank for today’s great meal.
Unfortunately, did not have the best brunch experience.
Most of their tables are for large parties 4+ almost everybody in there was a party of 2 sitting on a huge table and then big parties were just waiting. So I think better use of space is possible. Interiors and vibe is strictly OKAY. Not at par with brunch spots around DFW
Moving onto service & food.
We had to wait a while for everything – the server to take the order and then the food took long to come out too even though we ordered the most basic items.
Order:
1. Mocha Latte – decent. My teenager liked it but for me it was too sweet. But good for $7
2. Espresso Martini – probably one of the worst martinis I’ve ever had. It was straight up store bought and very watery and sugary. Bet there was no real espresso in it and it did not take a bartender to make it. It was a pre mixed wine cocktail in a martini glass. And it was $14. Total rip off. I could make one at home and it’d probably be better.
Like around the place and saw mimosas on other tables that also didn’t look great so overall avoid the drinks unless you’re really desperate. Go across the street to the Irish Bar and get a drink instead.
3. Crepes – average. A couple small rolled up crepes with powdered sugar and syrup. Nothing to write home about. Teen liked it. I don’t mind coz it was $9 but I rather pay more for good food.
4. Grilled cheese – $13 for toast and a slice of terrible store bought yellow cheese. I was shocked they even serve this at a restaurant. It was dry , the cheese was shoddy and very miserably thrown on a slice of bread. Again, I could do a better job at home. For $13 there is no way you should be able to serve that. A pre-made sandwich at an airport is better.
The breakfast potatoes were probably the only fairly decently edible thing on the table.
I go to brunch every Sunday and this one was a total waste of money. I paid $55 for a terribly average meal that I’m still hungry from. Service was quite lazy too. Nothing to remember.
Go to Cafe Mila across the street until these guys get brunch right.
Hope this feedback helps the establishment improve. It’s not to make anybody feel bad, but rather give my true opinion as a paying customer. Cheers!
We got 3 entree plates, and another order of fried chicken, soda drinks, and it was $50. Very reasonably priced.
