The updated building that used to be sharris that is now Elmers is so much better!!! The fireplace at the entrance is very inviting when its cold outside. Sharris was my go to place for pie and coffee, now Elmers has won my new favorite breakfast place for roseburg.
The fried steak breakfast bowl was quite perfect in my opinion. 10/10 I will be going back as often as my bank account allows. They are also one of a few, if not the only ones that have hollandaise sauce in town.
For how thing are in the economy, the prices are as expected. It is fair $ to be completely honest. They have to be able to pay employees and buy the food so Id say the prices are right.

Okay. 5 stars for a diner? Yup. Because we went in knowing what to expect. Servers were polite, friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and prepared to our expectations. Mimosa flight was fun. German pancake was devine.

Wonderful food! Everything the five of us had was great. Loved the Mimosas. The service was suburb. The restaurant is lovely inside. The only complaint we all had was that the restaurant was freezing cold even after they supposedly turned off the air conditioning; there was still cold air blowing from the ceiling vents.

This place was amazing! I got the fish and chips and let me just say now, the service was 10 stars out of 5! They kept the place tidy and the iced tea was also good 🙂

Food was average. Service was good, although it didnt feel natural. It was almost robotic. They use an electronic device ro take your order which is probably faster i guess. They ask if you would like hot sauce, ketchup, or jelly immediately after ordering and they bring those items before the food. The interactions with the staff just seemed preplanned or rehearsed. The menus items were expensive I felt. A little overpriced. The atmosphere i felt was what I would call clinical. Extremely clean, extremely bright, and new. The booth material reminded me of a baby high chair. I know all restaurants use vinyl, but this material just felt extra cheap. Made in china cheap. I use to eat at elmers in washington back in the 90s often. I loved it back then, I always enjoyed their skillet breakfast. The atmosphere back then was very homey and inviting. Call me old fashioned.

The server was great. The place is clean The food was fast and it was cold. The biscuit was so cold that the cold chunk of whipped butter, wouldn’t even melt. Was very disappointed. Took the food home to the dogs. At $18 a plate we figured at least the doggies would enjoy it!

Elmer’s is the few places in Roseburg that understands what breakfast and lunch is about.
Good food and service. Friendly staff for us seniors. We missed them when they moved. Better facilities now. We consider ourselves as regulars. Good handicap parking.

$25 per person (not including a tip) for diner style breakfast is insane. It’s just not that fancy to justify the price. My chicken fried steak was tiny (about the size of a small burger patty) and about a tablespoon of gravy.
Ok that was the negative, here’s the positive.
Everything tasted good. Well seasoned. Eggs were perfect. Coffee was fresh. The service was just right. Attentive but not overbearing. The place is remodeled and much cleaner overall than the Shari’s that was there previously.
Would I go back? Probably not. Too expensive for what it is.

Biscuit was cold gravy was cold. Plates were cold also. For a side of 1 pancake should of been larger for the price. I am a cook this should not happen.
