The service is good, but Countryside needs to update their About Us page, because it states they serve large portions. They used to serve large portions, but now they’re mostly served in a small boat-shaped dish, which sits on a regular size plate. It’s like having lunch for dinner. Sadly, maybe it’s time to switch to the newer place in town.

Countryside is our go to when it’s too hot to cook or my husband and I are just too tired/ busy to cook. Good side portions, tasty food. Full sized salads are huge! Even the 1/2’s are big. We tend to call in our orders since we live only a mile or so away but our food is prepared in about 20 minutes or so.

I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and countryside gravy and a side salad and I was not disappointed! WOW it was so so delicious! Hot and the meat was very good quality, was soft and had great flavor. I love countryside and can’t recommend them more! There pizza is amazing (supreme with little shrimp! ) and I love your breakfast. The Girls are always fun and super nice. Gambling is fun. Its just a great place!

I’ve been in Veneta for 7 years. I’ve always loved the pizza at Country Side, but 47% of the time there’s one or two rude employees. For this reason, I’ve been ordering from the new Dominos. I ordered Country Side tonight on the phone and it reminded me why I switched. The employee on the phone was unfortunately rude and condescending.
I hope they resolve these issues before they continue to lose business to Dominos.

Picked the wife up at the Eugene airport, we were hungry so stopped here on the way home. Has a sign on the door, “Masks Required.” Interesting since none of the staff were wearing them. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy, potatoes, two runny eggs, (asked for them cooked all the way through, no I didn’t send them back) also came with toast. Got to have toast to clean up the plate. Never know on the gravy, have had places where it has WAY to much pepper in it. This gravy was perfect. The wife had a BLT and fries. Both of us had water to drink. Friendly waitress, did a great job. Never got a ticket, had to go to the cashier area. Maybe that is the way it is done here? Wife thought the bar was noisy. It is hooked to the restaurant, more like a bar and grill type of place. Still, plenty of food, it was delicious and filled us up.

This place is great. It’s got all kinds of options as far as food goes. Their pizza is awesome. I got the loaded biscuits and gravy which were really good, but the biscuits were really dense. The service is usually good, but they do get busy. Be prepared to stay for a while when you eat.

First time here!
Should have taken the photo before I dove in. We had pizza and chicken fried steak. Very happy with all aspects of the food. Katia was our waitress and she was the best! She was attentive, quick, and we never felt rushed even though they were very busy when we arrived. We will definitely be back.

Stopped by while we passed thru Veneta after a trip out in Mapleton and decided on Pizza. The servers were friendly and accommodating to our party of 6, we ordered appetizers and 2 Xtra large Pizzas, the Pickle Fries were good but extremely hot temperature wise and could’ve easily burned our mouths up if not careful! We had a half Veggie half combination and a half islander (Hawaiian) half Taco pizza, the Taco Pizza was great it came covered in shredded lettuce and cheese and had crumbled tortilla chips on top, the Veggie was perfect! Prices can be high but you feel like you get your money worth, the only lacking experience is the restaurant’s atmosphere, it just feels a bit like a local watering hole bar, which I guess it’s fair to say it probably is, either way great food and great service, definitely worth a stop when your in Veneta or even passing thru.
