Booked a Christmas meal for 7 and the staff made the process nice and easy.

Food was all fantastic and the menu was clearly explained to help you make your mind up, a nice touch. The butter chicken really was one of the best you can have so the story holds up!

Only thing I would say is that space is quite limited but they do the best with what they have, would be more than happy to return.

A little gem of a restaurant. 6 of us for an evening meal last night celebrating one of our daughters’ birthday. Fabulous food chosen with help and advice from one of the friendly team. This place probably doesn’t look that “wow” from the outside but we had been recommended it as somewhere to eat. And we were not disappointed! One of the tastiest curries we’d had for a long, long time. We will definitely come back. 100% recommend The Original Third Eye.

Had an amazing evening at the original third eye. The lamb chops to start are incredible, along with the butter chicken for mains. Service was fantastic and I can’t wait to come back

All the workers were super sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend the butter chicken and the momos – there’s a reason they’re popular! Thank you so much x

We visited The Original Third Eye Manchester yesterday with my kids and husband, and it was a truly amazing experience. The food here is exceptional easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester.
Every single dish was perfect, but the lamb shwela was sublime, and the Kantipur was a true highlight that we highly recommend and and butter chicken is worth trying
Beyond the incredible quality of the food, the staff made us feel very special. Mela was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be sharing this gem with all our friends and family. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and great atmosphere. The poppadom sauces are some of the best I have had. We had Chicken Momocha for a starter (shared) which says it’s a 20 mins wait. It is worth it. They are these beautiful curried dumplings which is such an interesting combination. For mains we both picked off the specials menu and were not disappointed. Overall good value for money, excellent ambiance, and helpful wait stuff

I picked this restaurant for a catch up with a friend who works nearby, and boy am I glad that I did.

It’s quite a small restaurant, with exceptionally friendly staff. As we’d not seen each other for 9 months that took about 30 mins, and the staff left us alone, not rushing us at all.

The menu is quite different. I’ve never before seen chicken drumsticks stuffed with minced lamb and nuts (Third Eye Tangri), nor naan stuffed with potato and cheese (Pommi Nan), or onion-stuffed flatbread (Onion Kulcha).

The other starter we had was Chicken Momocha, and the mains were Makhan Chara (the Chef’s specialty) and Lamb Shah Jani
. I highly recommend both. I don’t think I’ve ever had curry dishes with such tender meat.

The only odd thing was the poppadums. I suspect these were shop bought, and rather small, but given they were amazing I guess that doesn’t matter too much. We just ordered more.

As well as the food being amazing, the price was too. Just over £60 for poppadums, two starters, two main courses, rice, two breads, and two pints of lager.

I will definitely come back here.

After not visiting the Third Eye for almost 10 years, due to moving out of the area, I came across an article about them winning the best curry awards! My Mum and I love a curry, so we decided on a whim to go! We didn’t have a reservation – not a problem, we’re seated right away! The food was lovely! We tried 2 different fish dishes for our starter and I had 1 of the chefs specials, my Mum had rogan josh – Was very spicy! My only ‘complaint’ and it isn’t really, but they only offer 2 reds and 2 whites (wines) by the glass, would be nice to offer more? Other than that, everything was fab and delicious!
